See I find the louder a car is the more it relieves stress. I don't think my G60 has any effective sound padding. It literally sounds like the exhaust, engine and charger are in the car with you! :D Which is awesome when you wind it up on a slip road. :luvlove: :luvlove: :luvlove:

I think various people have tried to find out at one stage or another to no avail. I don't think that there can be many left at all really. And some of the ones on the road are only fit for breaking now they've been so abused/neglected. :(

Yeah, I own one because I've driven all of them and that's the one I like the best. I've seen VRs struggle to sell for 1500 notes on this very forum too. And it's not end of argumanet. There is no end to this argument because it is based on personal opinion. you never see the G60 being labelled a future classic etc, never on tele (fifth gear wanted a VR end of), this is all for one reason - THE VR6 IS A BETTER SPORT COUPE, turns more heads and puts a bigger smile on ya face!! goes well when actually driving (not stop start situations) and sounds like a car should sound!! How does it turn more heads? A late G60 looks the same to a casual observer as a VR. And it may put a bigger smile on YOUR face but it doesn't on mine. By your reckoning every car should sound like a V6? So a ferarri V8 sounds rubbish???? A G60 also sounds like a car should sound too... if it has four cylinders and a supercharger. :shrug: And just becuase the motoring press label it as a future classic doesn't affect the way it drives. They just fixate on it because it's the biggest and most powerful engine. Not everyone cares what the press say anyway. So poo off. :lol:

Between the two the 16v is the best fun around town/twisties. The VR6 is the best cruiser. Of course the G60 does both.... :grin: Sorry, couldn't resist it. :lol:

My G60 is probably very noisy. But it's all drowned out by the induction noise and the exhaust so it doesn't bother me at all. :grin:

In the real world you don't go from 0-60.... :wink: Edit: Oh, Tom got there first.... :lol: I just think (not saying the OP does) that some people feel inadequate next to the VR6. There's nothing wrong with wanting to own a 16v. They're great cars in they're own right. We have these discussions so much and nobody can resist posting but nobody ever changes their mind based on the opinions of others. I say drive the one you like the best and to hell with what anyone else thinks. I've met plenty of people that think ALL Corrados are complete rubbish. That's just they're opinion and shouldn't be held in any less regard than someone who says the VR is "better" than a 16v because you may feel completely different when you drive them yourself.

I managed to stay awake long enough to see the Corrado. Started to nod off at the Citroen though. They don't seem to realise there is a reason Top Gear would rather blow something up than review it. And that bloke made that loop! WTF? What's entertaining about that? He wasn't even towing a flaming caravan or anything.

Agreed, that s shaped line on the corrado is the best one. Without that the styling doesn't have anywhere near as much impact.
