Done an HPI and the original plate was J379 MRO so I'm assuming that just goes back onto it or if that's not available they allocate another J plate. I think that is also the case if the plate was the original one. I think the DVLA just allocate another plate with no need to purchase another cherished one. But that is just an assumption. :shrug: Best ask them I suppose.

Yes, quite a few people seem to think the best choice of wheels just happen to be the spare set they have laying around. :lol: I don't want to go five stud anyway. VR6s are five stud, not G60s.

That is rather sexual Jim. I had a look at some white ones yesterday. Not sure if I'd put white ones on my car but they looked so smart. They're just way over budget this time round. And the chances of second hand 4x100s coming up are pretty slim I reckon. Well, my attention has been drawn away from the wheels again. Hit a bit of a snag. I can't get the new FLANGE to seal properly. To start with it was leaking worse than the old FLANGE! :lol: I've cleaned it up as much as I could but the FLANGE still leaks. Could the cylinder HEAD have corroded due to a slow leak over a really long period of time therefore being utterly foobarred never to seal properly again no matter how new the FLANGE or O-RING is? The part of the HEAD that mates with the FLANGE does look like it's seen better days....

You're freakin out deviant. They are not JapRicer wheels and even if they were I still like them. A couple of people have suggested RCs. I've looked at those speedlines too and I don't think I'd be able to go new this time around on either those or the BBS due to budget constraints. Although they would of course both look awesome I'd have to wait for second hand ones to come up = PITA. Those Inovit "JapRicer" wheels I can get spanking for 200 notes. May just pick those up and save for something else over winter ready for next summer. Dude they're called Inovit Manics. See, even the name suits me. :lol:

I'm waiting on some quotes for the paintwork before commiting to the wheels but these are my favourite so far. 8) Was planning on some BBS but these just caught my eye. They have the right blend of simplicity and detail for me. Thanks for the comment about my flange. You should see my shiny new one! :norty:

I'm quite taken with these. Always thought Rados look quite good on 5 spokes. Looks like they're only available in 15" and 17". Ideally I'd probably want 16s! :lol:

Thing is mechanics are (mostly) professionaly trained people. It would be a bit like renting out a surgical ward to members of the public. A garage is a dangerous place. Lots of heavy things, poisonous things, and tools that can kill you if used incorrectly or abused.
