Very nice buddy. Ain't no room for no more dubs on that driveway though! :D
-
Awesome! Is it made from one piece of wire?
-
Cheers for the message of solidarity Kev!

The motor trade is a scary place to be at the moment. That's for sure. Every day it seems I come in and hear about another garage in trouble or more redundancies. It seems a bit counterintuitive I know but you're probably more likely to get a better deal from a garage that is doing alright at the moment than you are from one that is struggling.
-
The interior in the facelift is a lot like a mk3 golf. It is a bit nicer if I'm honest. Also you get a bulge in the bonnet that some people find irresistible. There are probably a few other things but they escape me at the moment.
-
I think the main benefit to getting the 2.0 is that it is post facelift. Buy one of those and put an ABF in it.
-
You could try that. I think the thing to do is just shop around and play dealers off against each other if you can. And defo don't listen to the salesman. Of course he's gonna say you're getting the deal of the century! Hmmmm.... Maybe I shouldn't be telling you all this!

Well the margin depends on the manufacturer. It is complicated by the fact that there are ladder bonuses (the more you sell the bigger the bonus you get on each car) and things in some cars that will allow a dealer to blow a car away to meet a target. Say the first dealer you went to had only sold 2 Corsas that quarter they would only get a small bonus on each car. If you went to another dealer they may have sold 10 Corsas that quarter which means the bonus they get for each one is bigger and therfore they can start offering them for less than the first dealer because they now have a bigger margin. I'm not saying that's the case here but it's one possibility. There's all sorts of things like that but they have always been there. Mind you I can only speak from the point of view of the franchises I work for. Certainly Hyundai only recently just put the prices of their top selling models UP!
-
Problem is the margins in the cars haven't changed. So you can't get any more of a discount now than you could six months ago on the vast majority of cars. The franchises aren't getting any discounts from the manufacturers to pass on to the consumer and there is only so much profit we're gonna give away before we say NO DEAL!

Sweet. Now all I need to do is get around to doing it!

Well, the journey home was about 150 miles. Darren said just to watch it on the way home. Will probably give it an easy time for a little while longer though. I don't rag it all that much. The only time I really hammer it is on slip roads. :D I don't know why but the more powerful a car I'm in the more sedately I drive. Not sure what is up with the heater. Maybe the matrix is fecked or something. Am feeling like changing it but it sounds like a lot of work. Do you know if you can change it without removing the dash on a pre-facelift? Every now and again you can smell coolant still so there is still a problem somewhere.

The new Scirocco is just generally good, but yes, it does look awesome in green. Sorry to take this a little OT already but has anyone else noticed way more ABT cars around recently? I saw a Toureg the other day!
-
Nice car mate! :D Yeah, get it down to G-Werks. Just took mine down there nad it's much better for it!
-
:D That was fun. And it's quicker off the line than my G60! Seriously though I should have got a picture of that thing to turn into a t shirt. It's a really good bit of kit, clever CVT gearbox limits forward speed to 25mph. It's a bit weird as when you go up and down hill the engine revs go up and down while the forward speed is maintained. Did you see that video in the snow thread of us using it to tow a sledge round the feild? It is an amazing piece of engineering. :D We should buy some more and start our own race series. Yeah, I saw that video dude. I think if I had one I'd use it as some kind of mobility scooter. It would fit through the automatic doors at my local Sainsburys too.

:D That was fun. And it's quicker off the line than my G60! Seriously though I should have got a picture of that thing to turn into a t shirt. Kept it completely standard for now. I don't really feel the urge to increase the power at the moment. Whether or not I will in the future remains to be seen.
-
Nice one. I'll get you that t shirt I promised you too. Just need to burn a screen for a stoat driving a rusty white VR6 racing across a field against that tractor/quad bike/pickup thing you let me drive.

In his wardrobe.... :) I'm not going to get much sleep tonight.... :pale:

I found Toad waving his arms at me as I was about to drive past his house being hopelessly misdirected by my Sat nav! There are still a few niggles but from a driving point of view it's spot on now. Darren even commented on the condition of the charger and said it runs pretty sweet for a car on a standard pulley still. There is nothing that can't wait. I think the next major thing will be a suspension overhaul.
-
Yeah, it feels great. The drive home has got to be the best I've ever had in a Rado. Despite having to watch the revs and the fact that the A12 was gridlock because the M11 was closed completely. It's still blowing cold air though.... :bad-words:

Just got back from my trip to G-Werks. Glad I went! Loads of bolts either missing or not done up properly. Long and the short of it is I now have a new water pump, new serpentine belt, new power steering belt, new cam belt, new crank bolt and a rebuilt supercharger. As well as a few other bits that needed attention. I can stop worrying now and just start enjoying the car properly. I have to say a proper shout out needs to go to the guys at G-Werks. Legends. Was really cool to get to watch how they work and see the ins and outs of a charger rebuild first hand. Extra special thanks to Darren for buying me lunch. I still owe you that £3 buddy! :salute:  Was cool to catch up with Toad too. Mate, anyone would think you had a Corrado farm!
-
Some of those aren't too bad. Shame about the R8 one though. Dear God why?...
-
Yeah, a few things are notable by their absence. But I very much doubt you get to see the entire collection in that vid. It appears to have been quite heavily edited as well.

Is this the rarest Rado in existence today ?

Best I can come up with at short notice. Add sarcasm as you see fit:
