I quite like that. It looks like my new O2 Cocoon on wheels.

Yeah, I'll fess up to loving my mk3 valver. That ABF engine is a corker. Would love to drop one into a rado or a mk2 Golf.
-
A bold and provocative statement.

Cue the tribute vids. Bad Iron Maiden song but some of the corners are so perfect they brought tears to my eyes.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zwb-RNbdx5U&NR=1 -
If you're fifty fifty on both mate just go for either one as long as it's a tidy car and has been well looked after. I love my G60 to bits (which is good cos pretty soon it's gonna get taken to bits). I've never driven a VR6 but if I did I doubt very much that I would find it a distasteful experience. I don't think personally you can go wrong with either of them.

I just love the fact that she has clearly turned up to the wrong car show. Judging by the other cars that are there.... And which idea was worse? The car or those jeans?

Have I missed some New Rules on Motorway Driving?
Sonicriot13 replied to Jay2's topic in General Car Chat
Sorry about that... I do go on. :D By the way, re. Corrado VR6's, does anyone else have long travel for their clutch and accelerator pedals? That's alright mate, I don't really have anything all that interesting to say anyway. You probably just saved the forum from another one of my 8 paragraph rants! The thing that gets me about tailgating is when people are doing it the speed of travel becomes almost irrelevant. If you are following someone too closely and you have not left enough stopping distance and they slam on the stoppers you are fooked. All the speed is going to do is determine the severity of the fookedness. -
I find that with a lot Japanese cars though. You have to rag it to get any power out. Certainly every one that I've driven. My girlfriend's Celica is the same. But when you do rag it it comes to life in a big way! 8)

I was gonna share some of my motorway experiences, but after reading all that I'm too knackered. -
Never driven one mate but I've heard that engine is a nightmare if anything goes wrong. And expensive to service. And MPG is really poor cos it's the reviest of the revvy Jap engines. Hang on a minute, expensive to maintain and poor MPG.... That didn't put you off the rado.... I'll shut up now.

Cheers mate! :D I've never been on a holiday where I've gone so mad with the picture taking. The scenery was absolutely spectacular. I've got a whole series of those sunset pictures where as the sun is going down over the volcano the sky changes colour through oranges and blues.

Dub #4 - working my way back to a C!

Mk2s are great. And that looks a nice example too! I'm wishing I'd gone for one now instead of the 3 I'm using as my daily at the moment. -
This was the best car I saw whilst I was there. 8) And no damage. Think that's because it lived in the middle of nowhere and was never taken into town.... And I know this has nothing to do with cars but check out this sunset picture I took from the grounds of a hotel we stayed at. The mountain thing rising out of the water is the volcano Stromboli which is obviously the inspiration behind the Alfa Romeo colour Stromboli grey.

Nope, would have started to be a bit worried if i had..

"Crap Corrados R Us" + Six-wheeled Corrado...
Sonicriot13 replied to diamondblack's topic in General Car Chat
     PMSL! Doesn't take much to get you pissing your pants does it? Probably not if you don't find it all that funny. But then I don't see that there's anything wrong with that. You have to admit, the way it's worded, it is a little bit funny. Even if you didn't find it as funny as me. -
I'm not sure how the Corrado would compare to a mk3 golf which is the only car I've been unfortunate enough to smash. Made a good job of it too. Dozed off at the wheel on my way to work and went into the back of a ford galaxy at about sixty on a dual carriage way. I'm such a loser sometimes.... I was not aware but a witness said my car flipped into the air and everything. I couldn't believe how little damage to my car there was. The air bag went off obviously but the cabin was untouched. The dash didn't even move at all, or the footwell. I walked away from it. Whip lash for a couple of days after. That was it. I just kept thinking I should have had a big old 1.9 TDI engine in my lap and an instrument panel lodged in my sinus. Most fortunately the person I hit was unhurt too. I got a job in Ipswich and I now no longer commute to work. It scared the sh*t out of me and I avoid driving whilst tired at all costs.

Oh dear lord! Each to their own. Just keep saying that over and over in your head. -
Another pointless crossover. Obviously following volkswagen's lead.... "Let's fill a gap in the market that isn't really there because nobody wants that sort of car but it will sell anyway because invention is now the mother of necessity".

Hey Tom, Welcome to the forum buddy. You defo made the right choice for your first car! Echo the pics request!

PAH!! Have you driven one? The new cooper S is awesome, and even the Cooper is a cracking drive.. I sell them for a living, so would say that, however if i worked elsewhere and had the choice of a company car, i'd still be going with the MINI.. I have driven a Cooper S. Me and a mate test drove one when he was thinking of getting one. Wasn't my cup of tea. Although he didn't buy it in the end my mate really liked it. He was driving a C2 GT at the time though! Which I might add he subsequently blew up when he added nos! I will admit he'd have been better off with the S. :D

It inspires no feelings in me either way. :| It won't be as popular as the new "mini" I wouldn't have thought. One thing I would say in its favour is at least the Fiat retains a little bit of the soul of the original car. The "mini" is totally devoid of any real character and is nothing like the original.

I feel sorry for hire cars. They get so much stick. I know someone who had an accident in a hire car on holiday. Only a really small bump to the driver's side wing but they had to pay a silly excess and it was so much hassle to sort out. Basically if I had been there I'd have considered fitting a new wing before giving it back. Would have been cheaper me thinks.

Yeah, they were lovely. We were treated with so much hospitality everywhere we went. Very passionate people. And they all said hello to us. Even just walking through the residential areas we'd get smiles and a "hello" or a "gutten tag" because we were taken for Germans often. There were a lot of Germans over there. We witnessed a couple on the beach having a tiff. Went on for hours ! And that's no exaggeration And they do seem a bit aggressive at first but it's just the way they talk. We heard what we thought to be a full scale argument between about five women coming from a house near our bed and breakfast but it just turned out that they were watching TV and chatting! And 2 euros for a pizza that not only would be bigger than one from pizza hut but would taste 85,693,252 times better! :D I wouldn't have wanted to drive the rado there, just because I'd have been so worried about it getting pranged. They do just ignore traffic signs as well. There were stop junctions everywhere and not once did I see anybody stopping for them!
