  1. 026 121 053G 068 121 063M 1 each of the above I believe.
  2. Looks good Did the old bolts come off aright. Are they screwed in? Mine are starting to corrode and paint bubbling.
  3. Did exactly the same about 2 weeks ago. Chaps at work thought I was mad paying £83 on windscreen wipers. Best £83 I've spent on the motor I thought. Again, cheers Kev.
  4. What bodyshop are you using? Interested to know how you get on as I need similar bits and pieces sorted.
  5. Saw this on DubForce http://www.dubforce.net/forums/index.ph ... opic=15999 Any good?
  6. How about the 750 motor club. http://www.750mc.co.uk/ Myself and a friend where thinking of building a lotus 7 type car with the possibility of racing it. We went to one of the race meets at Snetterton to watch and ask a load of questions. They have a load of different series that you can compete in, one of which is the golf GTI series, however we were interested in the Locost. Cheap (ish), lightweight and RWD. We are still building a Locost car but as track car, as having gone to the race meet we realised the time and money that it would consume. However it looked like a really good race series to get into. Compared to the Golf GTI racing is was much closer and appeared more exiting, to watch anyway. The atmosphere in the paddock was really good as well, people friendly and willing to give advice and help each other out. They have the regulations for all the series on the website.
  7. Good job, nice clean and new parts always look good. Did the spanner come in handy?
  8. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: that would be awesome. Andrew has just jetted off to Amsterdam for a week on business, but I prob won't try this until next week sometime anyways. Is your friend called Graham and does he have 3 Audis? I hear he's a good guy.[/quote:2jlairqd] No, its not Graham. I'll try and get hold of the spanner. I'll be in touch. Al
  9. If you are really struggling, I could probably get my 'custom ring spanner' to you. A friend of mine works with your brother.
  10. I just ground the external diameter of the ring spanner down until it fitted in the recess. Worked a treat.
  11. I just bought some Grayston wheel bolts from here, they sell all sorts of lengths. For the 8mm spacers I just fitted I got 32mm long bolts. http://www.europerformance.co.uk When I was looking they seemed to be the cheapest I could find as you couldn't buy direct from Grayston.
  12. Good question, and was one of my concerns when doing it. I haven't really had any problems though. What I tried to do when filing done the metal clips on the connector is leave some of the clip but just lead it out if that makes sense. That way the clip gives you some retention, but can be easily overridden when you remove it. The connector is also a good fit in the Ipod which helps. I run coilovers by the way.
  13. Cheers, I'll try and update it with some photos. Would be interested to see how you get on.
  14. I have had a thought on how I can get them made at a reasonable cost with options for the different Ipod types. Currently looking into it. Can
  15. I'll probably have a go at another and see how long it takes me second time round. I'll PM you some questions though and then make you one. If it turns out alright, then we can sort out payment. Al
  16. Don't think I took any pics as I did it. But I've got some pics of the underneath. Will post up how I did later if you want, when I've found the pics
  17. To be honest, it took me a fair old time to make mine, a lot of fabrication. Sorry to say, as I value my time, it’s going to cost a lot to make them in the same way. I can look into other methods, as I have the contacts for a few potential methods to make them. But, even then, low volume plastic parts tend to have high part costs. If there is significant interest, costs may become more feasible. What's the max. people will be willing to pay, I can then see if its going to be feasible. £20? would £30 be too much. I realise this sounds a lot, but its very custom.
  18. Not sure if that was directed at my dock or not. Are you intereseted in one? Alex
  19. Airfield days tend to be cheaper. I did my first, in Mk2 GTI, for around £80. It was the first of the season so was cheaper, but they seem to be around the £100 mark now They are specially set out to be like a track and have large run-off areas. Some of the corners are quite artificial though as they are coned off. They are still great fun though and are a good way to start out. Any track or airfield days ban any form of timing though. You can race each other, provided your are not seen to be properly racing each other (if that makes sense) It was through this company http://www.motorsport-events.co.uk/ There were some nice cars to content with. 911 GT3, Atom, exiges, elises, caterhams, RS4, M3 CSL to name a few.
  20. Sounds good. What are you doing for the pipe with the CO Pot in Al
  21. Yep, I maybe interested in a kit. Would like to see how you get on before committing to anything.
  22. Interesting. I've had a TD5 intercooler in my garage for a while. When I've finished the planned work on the house I plan to fit it so would be really interested how you get on. Particaully what plumbing you go with. Are you sticking with the RSR outlet? Rado looks great by the way.
  23. My effort... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfIpod Dock 6.jpg[/attachment:309upvxm] Ipod Dock 10.jpg[/attachment:309upvxm]
  24. Sounds Good. Would be interested to see pictures. I've started on mine. I'm using the dock that came with the ipod. I've extended it a bit so the ipod sits a bit lower, also angled it back a bit more to provide some more clearance with the gearknob. There is a blanking sheet to make it fit the coin slot nicely. I did think about not using the coin slot at all and putting it slightly offcentre and behind to give some more room, but the coin slot is the ideal size so it seemed the right thing to do. Its also ideal that the Ipod dock and Gearlever housing are all styrene based plastics, means you can solvent join and fabricate bits really easily. Got the cable running under the gearlever housing, just need to fix this in the dock to try it all out. The finished product will be sprayed black and felt lined where the Ipod sits (well, thats the plan) Al
