Seems like a good start, £79.20. http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_1.8_1992/p/car-parts/car-body-parts-and-car-exhaust/exhausts/lambda-sensor/?710441505&1&a924d3a673f85ee7012bdb54360dea1728982de2&LAMS Any experiences or other suggestions? 13. Good thread, no buckets though. Be good to see a few as I'm considering it.
  14. I made a blast cabinet out of an old coffee table. Covered up the remaining sides with MDF, one of which was a hinged door and a piece of perspex? (or some clear stuff) from a junk shop for the front. Holes in the perspex by heating up an old exhaust end cap and letting it melt through. Then bought some long rubber gloves off ebay for a few quid. Works pretty well, got a light and old vacuum cleaner for extraction and set up at working height. I found it not as quick and easy as you would have thought. So in the end I found a good local chap that blasted all my stuff pretty cheap, would have taken my ages otherwise. The bigger the cabinet the better as well as you need to rotate the parts a lot to get to everything, I thought I made my plenty big enough but it gets pretty awkward. Will be giving it a run again soon though as I’ve got some alloys to clean up.
  15. sleeve for the one of the bolts that hold the gearbox cable bracket to the top of the gearbox? They go through a rubber mount.
  16. That's what I've done. Works pretty well.

  20. Yeah, cheers for them!! Sound familiar, mines back on the road with a few small issues. Just want to drive it now though not spend any more time underneath it. Sounds like your pretty much there though. Chin up. Imagine what it would be like with the charger!!
  21. The tooling to produce such a part would cost a hell of a lot. At a complete guess +£30K, potentially quite a bit more. That's for metal tooling which is what the originals would have used. You could produce low production runs on other tooling (not metal), but the materials and finish are more limited and the end result probabaly wouldn't cut it. Far eastern manufacture could low costs, but it can (is!) a bit if a nightmare. Well, that's what I reckon anyway. I'd be interested to know if anybody has other thoughts.
  22. Hi, Anyone know the tightening torque for the front cross member onto the chassis legs bolts. The 2 bolts either side that compress the rubber mounts. Not in the bently manual or the torques on wiki. Thanks
  23. Cheers for the replies and photos. In my eagerness to hack the old bushes out I didn't take a good 'before' photo. Stupid! From the photos it looks like it's 8mm to the outer bush diameter. Good news as thats what I've done. Fitting it back between the brackets sounds like fun! Thanks for the info
  24. Bump. Surely loads of people have done this?
