    A couple of queries

Ah Gipsy Hill, I know it being a palace fan and all . I just bought a flat in Purley not long ago, but lived in Coulsdon since I was a nipper. Grovelands Road isn't too far from where I used to go to school (Woodcote). And as for the high road, if you mean the country lanes leading to the A217 bit near the view point? If so, I know the road well :D Love giving the C a good blast down there! Will check the vids as soon as the net is connected back at home - Work blocks all the good sites you see. I'd definately be up for a drive some time! I don't suppose you've got a shiny black C with custom grille? Brown spikey hair? I only ask because thats the closest C ive been next to in my own in Coulsdon. Other than that the only ones i've seen in the area is an ice blue/greyish one in Caterham, a red VR6 in Merstham and a green Polish plated one in Redhill :( btw, I drive a green C with borbet As (9J rears).

    A couple of queries

Cheers for the answers - The changed bench is rather annoying...or can the raised centre bit be bought separately and attached over? Probably not... And Corradude, I'm in South Croydon - Purley to be specific..how about you?

    A couple of queries

Hi, just a couple of questions, I hope someone can help me out :) 1. What are the fastenings for these? Both keep sliding off :/ Anyone know the size, or where I could get them from? cheers 2. Whats supposed to be here? I don't have a rear bench, and this is just sort of awkwardly sitting over :/ If anyone has pics that would help :) Thanks!
  5. These still available? Need a Drivers side one asap! So embarassing having to get in the passenger side and climbing over :( Once confirmed i will send a payment :) cheers

  8. I'm not far from you mate, and while I await my coilies I can tell you that the roads around us are a nightmare! esp. Caterham + Redhill. I've also got some crappy springs dropped 40mm that the previous owner installed - all looks but no comfort :(
  9. lol ^ didn't realise i'd written the same reply! Maybe it was a subconcious thing?
  10. Hi, welcoem to the forum Do a search for the 16v Tuning guide, lots of info there mate :)
  11. Just seen this post.. And i know just where you're coming from. It's not just the missus tho, it's about 90% of the people I know :D - "waaaaa, get a GOOD car that doesn't break!". I guess some people just don't understand our bonds with our beloved C's. At times i think that they may be right, but a good chuftie now and then always makes it worthwhile :)
  12. Damn Ka's, They obv don't have the same build quality as trusty VWs Pearoast from earlier, but heres how my old mk5 polo fared against an A3 - still got written off tho :(. And no, I wasn't on a mobile phone, they ran a red at the crossroads! 30mph straight into the side of them :/
  13. hrm, i wonder if VW know about this - Exact same problem in my brothers Mk4 - Rear passenger footwell only, and our driveway has roughly a 20degree gradiant! Still have no idea of what caused it, strangely his alternator fudged up too...but im leaning towards thinking it was a coincidence.. ed: for silly engrisch
  14. Just as i suspected...cheers :)
  15. Hi Guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew if any mods to the C will actually lower insurance? It's not that I can't afford to insure my C (all mods listed), just out of curiousity really ;). I was thinking that mods such as the HID upgrade or Lupo wipers make the car much safer to drive in, thus lowering the risk. Do the insurance companies see it like this? Or perhaps adrianflux? btw - insured with Admiral until april, definately won't be renewing!
  16. got some fill wiring diagrams somewhere, will scan them in once i find them :)
  17. Thanks for the heads up...I'm up and down J10-16 a fair bit :)
  18. hmm, might be worth crossing the river for - once the C is fixed ofcourse ;)
  19. Luckily I haven't started changing it yet - thanks for the heads up, I think i'll go with GSF :)
  20. Also, is everything here that i'd need? (minus tools!) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HEAD-GASKET-SET-GOLF-CORRADO-TOLEDO-IBIZA-GTi-1-8-16V_W0QQitemZ320176129650QQihZ011QQcategoryZ9889QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem
