I'm with cheesewire, I buy on the AMEX if possible (most places don't take it in england :( ) and then pay off the entire balance when I can every month. You get so many benefits when purchasing with AMEX like insurance, money back if you find it cheaper elsewhere, nectar points, etc, etc, that paying with cash up front just wont get you. If you get work done at a garage and pay with AMEX they have a big strong legal team behind them that can deal with disputes for you, this alone scares most places that do a bad job to just fix it than argue with you. Well thats just my thought on using credit cards and it all depends on how good you are with moving your money around to the right places.

I did have good luck when my g60 rad blow, went to GSF an hour after it blow and they had one in a customer special ordered and didn't collect. with my 10% off got it for £75  another hour later I had it in the car and was up and running again  happy days it wasn't VW brand but it hasn't given me any trouble and keeps the temps down to 80 - 90 instead of 90 - 100 with the old VW one

Had a bit of a scare approaching a roundabout a touch too fast, I was braking down heavy from around 85 in a straight line and then the rear swung out to the right badly!! had to do some drastic recovery to keep it on the road. I was told at the MOT not so long ago that the rear beam bushes could do with replacing, I also have new tyres (covered around 600 miles). This isn't the first time the rear end has been unpredictable but by far the worst! Anyone got any idea what could be causing this? My thoughts are either wheel alignment, rear beam bushes, dodgy brake line? All thoughts appreciated

its french so next year all the electrics will fail and most of the trim will be hanging off if not broken already. the french aren't far off the italians for reliability :|

good stuff  glad to hear it wasn't too expensive or taxing -
the book price will be less than the actual value i'm affraid and unless you got decent insurance that will be all they will offer you if they write it off. However they can not write off your car without you agreeing to the offer. You can request to have the car to repair yourself. This will usually be as if the insurance company have writen off your car paid out the book value to you then you buy the car back off of them  I got a good deal when a VW transporter crashed into the back of my RSP mini cooper they offered £1400 to write off my car or £1000 and the car to fix up, so they might still be a good chance of saving your rado

the 1.8 8v engines have great power delivery and the g60 is a fantastic car to drive even as standard. Yes there are the supercharger rebuild costs that vary depending on how modified they are and yes you always want more power. But I am getting just under 190bhp at the moment, I could go further with the g-lader, but it will cost a lot to get 215bhp out of it. The alternative is swaping out the g-lader for a turbo. junkie got over 300bhp out of his 1.8 8v turbo and had great fun for years until his recent need for even more speed  and this allows you to keep the light and nimble feeling corrado. Don't get me wrong the idea of a super or turbo charged vr6 is very tempting, but it seems like everyone has been there and done that like the usual 1.8 20vt conversions. If you want to feel right at home you might want to try and find someone that's selling their 24v conversion corrado

I had a little trouble adjusting mine but refering to the manual it says to clean the thread above and below then wind down a couple of turns before winding up, worked a treat for mine, but then again there was no melted plastic on my thread :? hope you get this sorted.

well sounds like it might have just knocked your selector cable out of position so before you do anything have a play with it to see if you can get it changing properly again, if not this is a prefect excuse to get some gear box modifications  always look on the bright side -

I got some autometer gauges out there real cheap about half the price there are over here If you really wanna make some money go to Mexico and buy a couple of brand new camper vans, empty them of fuilds and put them on a container ship. Buy them for around $14k brand new there and sell for around £25k here
-
how much are you putting it up for?
-
I have a slightly modified g60 (180bhp) and following camper vans to Stonor on Sunday I got 38mpg!!!

the best cure for this is to drive right up behind round and then promptly cut up into the inside lane... singnaling all of this of course

I'm pretty sure the LH or RH Samco hose are just for the water pipes as the ones that feed the heater matrix are on different sides depending on the hand drive If you are just after the boost pipework then whether LH or RH shouldn't matter, I could be wrong but I can't see how they could be different

I need to replace my rear beam bushes and was thinking of going poly, but want to get some different opions on this. I have almost spun the rado out going a little too fast round some round abouts, mainly because it feels so grippy and then all of a sudden, slip out goes the rear end without warning  Do you think this is because my current OE bushes are shot and will new OE bushes improve this or do I need to go for poly bushes to get a better feel for the rear end? Cheers Steve

I went down the VR 1st, 2nd and 5th gear route and am mostly happy with it, hitting around 60 in 2nd which is nice, but 5th feels strange as it doesn't feel that different from 4th until you get over 100
-
Nice looking rado, they are worth keeping hold of :D Give me a shout when you get rid of either head lights, not too fussed whether its the standard or the inpro

when you go to view the car pour a decent amount of water over the rear window, wait a little bit for it to run off then open the tailgate. If water comes out of the lock / catch then it will either be the wiper gromit or can be the license plate surround and the key hole gromit (which always goes).
