I agree on the seats they look pretty sweet and are comfortable, with the one complaint that the drivers seat could do with a much lower arse position, although that could be just because of coming from Corrado :) I think the Eos dash was a slightly poor choice (too bland) but yeah all thogether nice. I really liked the enclosed feel you get with the low roof and small side windows and the stearing wheel felt and looked good too. And I hate to sound old man with pipe n slippers but the list of supplied spec was very good as I expected most of the standard stuff to be extras, but I guess that has something to do with the high starting price. Does anyone know when a 1.4 twin charged is going to be available?
-
I guess the main problem I had with practicality was the amount of room for people in the back and the size of the tailgate (I couldn't get my hockey kit in :? )
-
Sorry, but what's a lacklustre meh? You didn't like it then? Walesy put it down well after I posted here : - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=69908&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=30 It didn't excite and wasn't practical, I love the look just couldn't figure out who the car is aimed at.

oh yeah have you got the water / meth up and running yet? I'm still thinking about nitrous injection :D
-
That reading was from when I went to the stealth meet I think the wheel reading was about 165bhp Out of interest I have only ever used pre-programmed chips and never had a Live map done, any recommendations on where to get it done and how much I should expected to pay?
-
I gave the car a very lack lustered meh after taking it out for an afternoon, so looking forward to what you think of it after having it for a couple of days

water pipes should be happy at running at a constant 100c and easily cope with 90c the limit should be around 120c. whether this is the case or not (even with VAG) I don't know. Mine sits at 80-90c on 70-90mph motorway driving and 90c spirited country driving but 100c traffic (due to two rads up front). I don't get any problems with all but one pipe, the one that goes from the head to the heater matrix and this one is looking on its way out again, but that is probably down to the fact it is a cr@ppy gsf pipe.

really am liking the C's thinking about getting rid of the standard BBS's for a set
-
any new suspension settles down really, it is just down the rubber / gas / coil springs bedding in
-
is this your daily driver and do you do lots of miles, any motorway driving? I would normally say more power is always the way to go but I wouldn't think it would be worth the disadvantages if it is your daily driver compared to the gains from a 68mm (which aren't that large )

I haven't got figures of the latest kit yet, still got to get the charge cooler pump and header tank sorted the way I want it and also get my cam, then it will be a re-map and RR session. Before I got most of the parts on, when I just had the exhaust and air filter I got 178.9bhp @ flywheel, so I hope I am going to be in the 215-225 mark after the re-map
-
go on then lets hear your 8v turbo figures
-
yeah that's the Staines :) was owned by a crazy old lady, Darren at G-Werks knows her as she used to take the car there as well  has been a well looked after car although the bodywork could do with a re-fresh. I will get some pictures up tonight  honest

finally a competitor to the 911 gt3 as the ultimate track day car :D I'm going to write into TopGear to see why they haven't got hold of one of these yet :nono:

mmm rear wheel drive R8 with 500+bhp http://www.supercars.net/cars/4212.html
-
what are you doing with the smaller splitter? I fancy going a little girly :camp:
-
well in this set up you can see a fair few 90 degree bends just at the back of the system and then you have the turbulance caused by one turbo's outlet joining onto the others. I know they are both heat wrapped but having the inlet pipe follow along the exhaust can't be good for inlet temps. This M5 also has an intercooler, I think this example has been poorly done, but I have heard of good examples on other older BMW's. It all seems a bit mad to me and until I drive one I will stick by my thoughts that it is a bad set up.
-
do you fancy having a g60 meet, would be cool to get together chat and check out cars, maybe even a g60 rolling road day?
-
the only advantage, and a very poor one at that, is the reduced heat in the engine bay and more importantly the throttle body(s)
-
I would be worried about damage from cr@p on road or some chav tea leafing them!
-
does anyone else think this is a really bad idea? this is on an M5 producing 810bhp
-
oh yeah fitted the boost return mod nice whoosh but now my engine bay is covered in K&N filter oil :bad-words:
-
got round to fitting the poly rear beem bushes last week was easier than I thought it would be but did take a while longer than I thought it would due to hangover :? freed up the brake bias valve as well so no mad snaking under heavy braking  I know people argue about poly or not to poly the rear beem bushes but after fitting these the rear end is working so much better than before. It's more comfortable and all wheels stay on the ground for longer, roundabouts are fun again :D I would thoroughly recommend that anyone who hasn't replaced there rear beem bushes already to try it out.

I would like to see all PG really, that way it will give people an idea about the advantages of a turbo and see if it is worth doing, from what I've heard it is not much more than the price of a g-lader re-build and stage 4 porting so might be worth it as a turbo rarely needs re-building and when it would finally come round to need it you will probably be thinking about a bigger turbo anyway :D
