bringing this one back from the dead... really just want to ask the same as steveo29 can anyone explain how Darren is setting these up? I am going to be changing the cam belt on the weekend I was going to follows Yandards steps but if you can get a little more out of the PG from being a tooth out on the cam pulley then wouldn't mind giving it a go.

I'll find out who the seller is when I get home tonight, but was £40 (well £35 as I got another voucher sent to me from ebay ) brand new delivered and I think it is a Davis Craig fan. I'll post some pics up of fitting it as I hope my new charge cooler water pump will arrive before the weekend as well :D another bargain at £15 :D

Am i also right in thinking I need a 2 pole fan switch not a 3 pole switch  100c and 105c is standard isn't it?
-
right I just got a slim line fan for a bargain on ebay and I am looking to put a lower temp thermostat in at the same time, where can I get hold of one, do VW do one for a different model car that will go on my g60?

:D well a cheap turbo might be just what I need to get kicked into doing rather than just researching
-
CorradoVR6-n.o.s any chance of getting a few turbos to sell to us forum member :norty:

Looks like you got a gem there 8) you keeping it OEM looking?

boost monkey is right this chat should be in the forced induction 8v thread I have put a reply here
-
again if i recall they are 400cc injectors so should be plenty of room for extra power
-
if I recall the injectors are the same type, but you would be best to get new seals top and bottom

just out of interest is the modifications to the inlet manifold just for clearance of the exhaust manifold, heat shield or turbo? do you need the Mk4 MAP sensor or is that just for the Haltech system? This is one area I am unsure about and wouldn't mind some advice on, I have been looking at a Megasquirt stand alone engine management system, but to start with is a stand alone engine management system required or will a remap be enough to get started with a turbo conversion? Is the polo crank position trigger wheel to give the Haltech system a better idea of where the engine is at any given time? Sorry if these are newbie questions but I have only just started researching the engine management.

Hi junkie just read through the whole thread and have to say this is (was i guess :( ) my favourite Corrado on here, sorry to hear about the manifold going again, is this due to excessive heat, movement or just poor design? Are you still set on going down the 20vt route? If you are going to be selling the engine in parts I will definetly be interested in the head, cam and pulley, was the head built up by Jabba, what size valve were used? If you are selling the engine complete I would be interested to know how much you want for it, I like the idea of sticking with 8v really :D Once again sorry to hear it is SORN atm but hope you get it all back up together with even more power soon :D it's about time there was another stealth RR meet me thinks

how much oil is too much oil in the boost pipes  I have only just had the charger re-built by G-Werks and I'm still getting quite a bit of oil in the boost pipes and I think this is what is causing my starting problems after a hard drive. Next does anyone have a good how to get started converting a g60 to turbo guide? I have a rough idea of what would be needed just wondering if anyone could fill in the gaps and recommend parts / suppliers - turbo - manifold - downpipe - boost pipes - remapped chip junkie do you have a parts list from Jabba etc, I just figure the g60 has got to be the easiest / cheapest Corrado to turbo and kicking myself I didn't attempt it when the charger needed re-building last  Oh yeah and junkie the pic below looks like there is something new off the vac pipe in front of the throttle body, I was wondering what that was? Also is it a good idea to have the rocker breather pipe going to the turbo intake?

to notice a real difference you will need more surface area, so larger discs are the way to go, but better discs and pads will improve things a little. to help give a better feel braided hoses and some dot 5.1 fluid would be a good idea, cheap and easy to do. as for discs try to stay away from drilled as they will squeak a lot if used for daily driving, grooved are alright but personally I would stick with brembo solid discs. as for pads I can recommend mintex extreme.

I have been having some issues with starting some times, I am starting to think it is the ISV that needs to be cleaned or replaced :( basically I am getting the same as you, you start it go to drive and it starts to die, if you leave it to idle it will sound like it is misfiring badly, but if you can keep it going till it warms up it drives fine  really is begining to p1ss me off

love the arches but the grill, lights, bumper, skirt and colour needs to change... I need some money to get started on one of these and do it right :D

what diameter are the connectors on the gt4 rad? and are the pumps up to the job?
-
loving the car so far, good choice on the 5 stud conversion, it's harder to find decent wheels in four stud :( I was wondering what radiator and pump you are using for the charge cooler? I'm after a new pump for mine so any contacts you have would be sweet :)
