  1. sounds like it could be an air leak after the MAF sensor, which could mean your running lean
  2. have you checked for air leaks? I had similar problems and finally found a split in T piece pipe going from the front of the inlet manifold to the brake servo
  3. This has been an awesome build thread to read Just wondering where you got these terminal boxes from? At the moment mine is just stared off of a mini exhaust mount :D
  4. notice there are no pics looking into the engine bay window, where you wont see a sweet Ferrari v8 ;)
  5. polo g40 wheel feels real nice on a rado, looks the same as a g60 just smaller and with a metal strip on the middle arm
  6. he must mean carb turbo  which would be a lot easier than injection as all you would have to do is crank up the fuel, getting it running well and for any period of time would be difficult
  7. Hi Adam, Most kits come with a K&N filter on the throttle body outlet, which makes a nice noise whilst thrashing the car, but for daily driving it is a bit much. I have ordered a foam filter to see what difference to the noise it makes, will keep you posted and try and get some pics whilst I'm at it! Cheers Steve
  8. it is quite a lot of work for not much gain, i prefer the screw style chargers or stick with a g-ladder
  9. Just take it to volkswagen. :) Like i said VW don't have the PAS pump mount anymore, not in any dealer or back at any factory
  10. one major problem you will have is getting hold of the PAS pump mount. VW don't have any, TPS don't have any and I have tried to get one off of here for the last 5 months with no luck, they really are none around, unless you get lucky at a breakers. By the way you can't get a 16v mount to fit either :(
  11. quick question where did you get these map pocket / speaker pods from, there not standard are they?
  12. can't remember the exact date but mine is June 92 with the same spec
  13. that's the one I have got along with the 80 degree fan switch, not fitted them yet though, something for the weekend! What sort of problems have you had with the fan switch?
  14. that kinda money could get you a 996 gt2 in this current climit!!! I know what i would go for... sorry Corrado :( you lose
  15. yep small flat screw driver on the three barbed adjusters hold it in place, I made the mistake on first atempt to try unscrewing the adjusters back plate :pale: this plastic plate is held in tight and the plastic there just crumbles when weathered
  16. No worries Jonathan, was a pleasure dealing with you. I'm glad they got to you ok was difficult finding one box to fit those into so had to get creative :D
  17. I would be interested in your other set if you are thinking of selling them, as mine have seen better days :(

    JMC's G60

Nice one :D now it will definetly break 300bhp with the nitrous This is probably going to sound a bit dim but am I right in thinking that with the live remaps the company doing it fit a new chip and map it on a rolling road? If you already have a pre-coded chip such as SNS Stage 5 that is already set up to your current configuration does this become redundent or do the live remaps re-use the old chips and over-wright them? I have heard nothing but good news from Stealth, I have only been there once on the Corrado Forum RR day in 2007, but I plan to head up there later this year once my car is finally sorted. How much does a general live remap cost?

  20. As your charger was done at GWerks only 4000 miles ago I wouldn't bother with porting until the next re-build in another 36000 miles and the money / power gain isn't that great but obviously if the charger needs re-building then it is worth doing. As mentioned above the biggest gain will be with a big valve flowed head, decent cam and charger cooling system of some kind. I have done the boost return re-route and the noise does pi$$ me off on daily driving and the smell of oil isn't worth it. Saying that I am getting hold of some thicker cotton filters that should cut down the noise and an oil catch tank to sort out the burning oil smell so that might make it easier to live with. First step when you buy any corrado should be to get a decent set of coilovers, ARBs, better brakes and replace as many bushes and bearings as you can. Then you will have a fast and smooth driving car without evening getting more power out of it. P.S. Oh and look into gearing as well as the standard G60 box is a little sort for a force induction engine, I use the VR 1st, 2nd and 5th with a VR clutch and that seems to work very well.
  21. Not at all I have these on my car and they are extremely bright orange through my red rear lights, but I got the ones which fitted straight away, so not sure how to help with that part, the only other thing you will have to do is fit a resistor to the bulb
