  1. oh-er thats a lot of dollar ...... would love to know if some of these higher priced VR's are actually selling for anything close to their asking prices.
  2. Looks nice mate ...... red rears are a definate for the silver ones IMO - transforms the back end.
  3. Agreed, I think that over time the term Sports Car has been diluted and in todays market a Corrado isn't really a sports car - but its not sold today, it was sold 20 years ago and back then I would definately call it a sports car. I suppose we all define a sports car in a different way, but I define it as a 'reasonably' fast car that handles well through the corners and looks 'fast' even when standing still - to me at least thats a Corrado. I suppose the same question could be aimed at the new Scirocco ...... is that a sports car or a fast hatch or a sports coupe - who knows BUT with todays niche market antics who cares. Manufactuers have flooded the market so much with cross over cars that 'do everything' we have lost the need/desire to catagorize a car like we use to - a shame in my opinion .......I mean once in side could anyone really tell the difference between a Q5/Q6/Q7
  4. I would be interested in one ..... wait for the pictures.
  5. I dont know, I thought I would get a lot more wet on a scooter than I actually do ..... I've had it for four years now and can count on one hand how many times I've actually got seriously soaking wet !!! Although admitedly I dont think I would use it to take my friends to a Grimsby football match
  6. I got my only 3 points on my licence for doing 38mph in a 30 zone on my Vespa :bonk: .....
  7. Good purchase Jim ..... I had a go in one a few years back and it was great fun around town. I've got a Vespa 50cc for my daily 3 mile commute - now thats cheap ....... seriously if you want to save even more money you should consider one in the future as you will never get over how cheap they are to run - I changed the whole engine for £250  Anyway get some pictures up of the little Cinq.

    VR Coil Pack

Ok I will give the vasaline a go then......thanks. But to conclude, if I can actually see the spark jumping from the lead across the pack can I assume the coil pack has a crack ?

    VR Coil Pack

Hi all, Pretty simple one really but just want to make sure......started the car this morning and got a miss fire. Opened the bonnet and heard a clicking noise from the coil pack - Spark was jumping from one plug. So question is - is it possible it is anything other than a cracked coil pack ? To me it obviously is, but want to make sure I dont need to check other stuff before I buy one and swap it over. Thanks Danny

  19. oh it sounds like your having a rubbish time :smug:
  20. Have you pressed and prodded them, you will only find a leak doing this in rubber hoses - in other words you wont just see it sepping.
  21. I had a similar leak years back.......my'n was a perished hose at the top of the fuel tank located in the boot - there is a round disc shaped cover under the carpet in the boot on the right hand side (from memory), removing that reveals some fuel lines into the top of the tank - check them by pressing on the side to see if fuel leaks - I found the clip was an original VW item and so trimmed the hose and replaced with jubilee. Give it a check, you might be lucky ......
