  1. i take that back and get them in tollerances if i paid £70 at the dealers.
  2. turn your aircon off that should free up a few horses!
  3. The advantage of a spanish toll road, straight road for miles, the C is amazingly smooth at those speeds, must add, i wasn't looking at the speedo, and when i did, i slowed down pretty quick as i didn't seem fun anymore!
  4. yeah but they'd need doing sooner or later anyway, so best only getting your hands direct once instead of 10 times!!! think of all the money you save in hand cleaner!! lol
  5. get the manuals from http://www.clifford.com go to the american site and get the users and wiring manuals, i think the concept 500 is a 50xuk or something on that site. cliffords US technical dept are very helpful, but you need to phone them in the middle of the night to get them at work
  6. i've had 245 just and was getting close to the rev limiter so i slowed down, was it a really hot day?

    Synthetic oil???

I thought that stuff was fully synthetic.
  8. the chirps come fro mthe siren. have you checked to make sure you´ve not turned them off
  9. i had a stiff back and aches when i first had the C, i just put the seat a little more upright and it was fine after that
  10. you could try a reset but if it doesn´t fix it then your even more screwed. as you would need to set up the lot again
  11. I had bad noise on my stereo till i changed the brushes on my alternator, now im 99% sure the noise supressor is the other little wired on thing on the alternator. Change them both, the brushes only cost a around 5 quid iirc. If you are running an amp you should have it earthed back to the battery via a low impeadance wire, if not try running the earth back to the battery, not the chassis earth point in the boot. you could try this too, got idea to change the brushes anyway!!
  12. Best place if a cable to the battery mate, but like i said there are earth points in the boot and behind the rear quater trim, they are basically plastes with loads of connectors for spade terminals
  13. Looking good Andi, If the vr turns out like the G60 your onto a winner, BTW i still wish i could of had that plate on the G60 when i brought it from you. If i lived in Gibralter, i'd have G 60 by now!!
  14. Download the manual, check the siren output with a voltmeter, you may need the wiring instructions to check the voltages

    Pillow pods

there is a company that make them in the states, but you need to send them a A-PILLER trim as to use for the mould iirc. I 'd buy one at the right price
  16. if you had got the lorry plate you could of informed the police and got there insurance to pay as im sure the speed limit is about 20mph when they do that to the roads. Its a really cheap way to resurface a road, slap a few hundred tones of tar down and a lot of gravel to soak it up, plus a bit more for cars and lorries to press in to the road surface so they dont have to roll it, sorted 1 messed up road thats good for a few months of till you get one warm summer day. thank god they dont do that here, but the tarmac does get warm and tacty, for extra road holding!!

    Indicator stalks

so you have to use mk3 GTi not late Corrado ones?
  18. Kev the seat bolt will earth but not that well, especially if its painted or grease as some of them are on mine
  19. Kev Iáve got an RCA that a meter or two longer than it need it in my c so all the excess is floating around in the rear bench. Having the amp earth to the seat bolts is not the best of ideas considering there is an earth point behind the rear quater trim card where the window controller is and there is another in the boot for the lights (i wouldn´t use the light earth point though, you MAY get a click click every time you use your indicator
  20. andycowuk, on paper your dead right, apart from one thing, a car only has one ground, earthing the amp directly to the battery will isolate any electrical noise from other equipment.
  21. here you go this is my passenger side they are mounted on the same place on all early and cross over models of the Corrado IIRC, I think sept onwards the moved to the door pods
  22. I had bad noise on my stereo till i changed the brushes on my alternator, now im 99% sure the noise supressor is the other little wired on thing on the alternator. 23. All the cables are, is pre charged with an electric current, any cable will become directional to a very tiny degree after the first current has past throught it. Since you have now use the RCA cable in the "wrong" direction now it is probably charged back the other way now. its all about electron flow irrc from uni, basically the cable carries electrons in it, it just need the power to move them and in this case they are already to go in one direction.
  24. you can undertake in spain it rocks especially when you have a C thats been breathed on!!
