How much advance are yous guys running on your KR 16v's?
olly elworthy replied to MillSpeed's topic in Engine Bay
anything from 9-13 degrees seems to work well for me on the mk2,, 13 is too much in this hot weather though,,, back down to 10 for the time being,, -
Anyone ever considered a TDi engine conversion?
olly elworthy replied to chris g's topic in General Car Chat
yeap these new gen turbo diesels are a force to be reconed with!! wouldnt mind 300 lb/ft of torque!!! -
i would be interested in one of these too, you felt the weight of a rrado bonnet!! they are very heavy so a light one has gotta be a good idea,,
-
really good, grip excellently in dry and wet, dont seem to last all that long but think that is probably due to my driving  had 205/45/16s on there first but now running 195/45/16s as it seems allot better and doesent track about on bumpy roads so much with the thinner tyres on, + they`re about £20 cheaper each!!

sweet motor, also a note that when my abs light kept coming on it used to only do it under heavy braking, i narrowed it down to the pedal position sensor mounted on the servo, changed this and all was well, £53 though, but still it fixed it so i was happy :D

Nearly a 'rado owner........Focus RS anyone??
olly elworthy replied to Incredibilios's topic in General Car Chat
focus rs is an awesome car, handling is excellent, you sure you want to be in and out of the bonnet all the time after owning such a relatively new car? -
i have a scorpion on my g60, (it came on it when i got it) its fit is appauling i have had to severely modify it to get anything like a decent fit,, does sound nice though,, im saving up for a supersprint, like i have on my mk1 golf as anything else is not worth bothering with, i`ve had a magnex on my mk2 and that was awfull too, :cuckoo: the flow due to the rear silencer design is a joke, where it went from 1 to 2 pipes inside the silencer rather than a y piece there is a solid steel sheet with two holes in it, the silencer gets so hot were it meets this flow restriction that it buckles the casing, i have seen this on more than one mk2 and the steel is very thin, save your cash for a supersprint, :thumbleft:

i have a 1994 pas vr6 rack in my 1989 mk2 golf gti all i did was bought golf mk2 track rod ends and used the steering nuckle off the vr6 to join it all up, its quite a quick rack on a golf, i retained the 8v gti pump too,, works well!! :-) i think any of them will fit just need to change track rod ends and the steering nuckles accordingly,,,
