Hi buddy, I did a similar thing in a friends car, I realised in wiring up the stereo I had at some point shorted out the constant 12v on the metal surround. First things first, have you been chopping the stereo wires up? If so you will most likely have fried your ignition switch, not too pricey from a dealers I believe. I'm not too sure how you could actually check this but I'm thinking the not starting is a good sign, as this will have fried the position just before the starter? If anyone thinks I might be wrong please do say :) I'm not entirely sure myself

Went in on Tuesday, no luck, discontinued. The bloke at the desk gave me a few numbers to try of dealers that have been listed as having a few left in stock, so all may not be lost. Looked like they were £16 + VAT each so I'll give them a try. If not its the scrappy unfortunately :( go find a C looking sorry for itself. Jim

anyone?

Hi all, I've had an ongoing problem with the bit of trim at the top of the door card that sits against the inside of the window. Firstly we removed a set from a scrapped Corrado only to find that they too, like mine, are broken. In an attempt to fit the least damaged one while I try to locate some non damaged ones, I can't seem to get it to fit right. It just keeps catching and getting pulled up by the window, I must have fitted it wrong, unless I have inadvertently tried to fit an early to a late? Does anyone have any info on how these inserts should be fitted, and also where I might be able to find both a drivers and passengers one that isnt split. Thanks, Jim

Edit:just noticed Graeme's (coullstar) pic is actually 16" ones!

I'm really thinking about it, but I was ideally after 17" Arrows! I can only find pics of 17" ones on a C, but here they are: Jim

Cheers! I'll keep an eye on them, 16" though!

Yes yes yes and once again yes, I completely agree That S2 is a monster and I want one  Although I think that I wouldn't get a very good one for £500 on top of my VR, plus they drink a lot fuel and I don't know how they handle?

Anyone any idea where i can get some? 5x100 cheers

Graeme, Thanks mate I'm loving the wheel help! They do look fantastic, but they are really rare aren't they? They do look good, but the Arrows definitely have a look about them! Agreed with the 4/5 stud mention, I have seen the Arrow as a 4 stud and they dont look right at all.

Hi guys, I have a real soft spot for the Momo Arrow rims, trouble is they seem as rare as hens teeth right now. Just wondered if anyone knew any reps or places to get some, and also would love to see some Corrado pics! Cheers, Jim

You will mate, it has an 'authentic Ferrari V8 engine cover' :epicfail:

Closest we can get would be C 57ORM or the likes?

About to buy full Milltek system for Storm - any thoughts?
Fanjita replied to sprinterVR6's topic in Engine Bay
afaik just to answer your question, i believe cat-back just means the exhaust is from the cat all the way to the tip at the back? this is opposed to other systems which may just be a back box, or all the way to the manifold. -
Yeah my lights are pants too mate good call, ended up putting some halfords special 80w bulbs in they seem to have done the trick! I think the eyebrow just makes the front less prominentby extending the line from the bonnet, it does change the look a lot. Cheers mate

Hi mate, sorry for the lateness of this. I'd probably put it down to the eyebrow spoiler? Some more pics:

Throttle body to Solenoid valve hose no longer made? (VR6)
Fanjita replied to Fanjita's topic in Engine Bay
Ive farted around with the carbon canister a lot lately, and having read a lot of posts here about relocation (for cold air) I determined that binning it would cause me engine troubles? It's been relocated so I assumed the best bet is to keep it plumbed in. Jim -

Throttle body to Solenoid valve hose no longer made? (VR6)

anyone any ideas where i can get one? thanks -
Hi all, I've just been taking bits off the engine and giving things a clean, when I noticed that a hose running between the throttle body and solenoid valve has a big hole in it. Looking at the route it appears this solenoid valve then runs to the carbon canister. Anyway aside from making a new one, did i make a mistake with the part number as VW Poole state this part is no longer available? Hopefully you can see the pic below, its the one numbered 13, although mine actually divides into 2 pipes and one runs to the valve on the rocker cover. Thanks, James http://www.vagcat.com/p/B121/133800.png

Not sure if this helps but my renewal came up for £652 this year and I'm 22 with a modified VR. That's with Admiral and I was previously insured with Bell, I tried a few insurance brokers advertised on these forums and none of them could even come close.
