Hi Joe, Thanks, just called an emergency locksmith who will sort it for £90 :( ....Apparently they're a complete pig to do, and they're deadlocked (???) which i didn't know. We did get a hold of the locking pin with a wire between the door and window and gave it a tug, which was resisting being pulled up so maybe this was the deadlocking. £90 for being stupid, it could be worse I suppose

Thanks Joe, I'm going to ring the AA now i think. Jim

Hi Mate, If you are getting rid of those wheels I'd love them! Let me know how much :) Jim

Waved to someone just turned off Salhouse Road in Norwich, coming the opposite way as i was headed towards Salhouse Rd. Dark blue VR looked standard around 12pm

Hi guys, Feel so stupid, I've just managed to lock myself out of my car, forgot about the stupid timed lock on my alarm and shut the door. Have no spare!! :epicfail: Wondered if anyone could PM me any way of getting in with minimal damage? Otherwise its AA time :( thanks all Jim

Yeah it is very similar, mine could be the old 112 then! Thanks, James
-
Hi, thanks for the message but after googling that name they look different, no rim between the spokes and the edge of the wheel. Thanks though!
-
It's 'Ace', but not a clue on the model name, haven't found it on any websites, looked great on the old VR though! Thanks, Jim

Hi guys, Wasn't sure the most appropriate place to put this so I thought General would be ok! I have a single alloy wheel that was given as an extra with my previous C, I need to shift it so I was planning to put on ebay. Thing is I don't know what the dimensions are! If anyone has an idea I'd be very grateful. It was for a 1994 VR6 so 5 stud, but I was thinking it best to include offset, the 5x??? dimension and any other information that might aid the selling. I have tried to find it online but I don't think this wheel is sold anymore. Best, James photo.jpg[/attachment:iftwp9rk]

I had my first VR at 20 and it cost me £1400, I'm now 22 and have another VR for £700! I can give you all the details of who I was with and how etc etc if you like, just PM me! Sorry to hijack the thread for a mo -
Just exchanged waves with a dark blue L (i think) plate, looked like a valver. Dropped on deep dish rims, looked lovely, was on Wimborne Road East just near Ferndown in Dorset!

Hi all, I have a minor hiccup in my alarm system that I haven't really bothered looking at but I'd like to get sorted! Basically it's a Piranha A103 alarm (fitted in 1995  !!), and it has the total closure feature and that. The problem is when I lock it, windows and sunroof close fine, and the doors lock. When I come to unlock it though, I have to first use the remote to deactivate the alarm, then I have to unlock the doors with the key cos they don't unlock on the button??? I also have to use this little key (almost like a button type battery) to deactivate the immobiliser, and it has no holder so it's just loose in the car! You wouldn't believe the hair pulling that ensued when I lost the immobiliser key in the dashboard! Anyone got any ideas? I just want it to unlock with the remote and deactivate the immobiliser so i dont have to go through all this hassle! I did just consider buying a new system but seeing as I'm probably best not fitting it myself it'd cost me around £300! I hope someone can advise, thanks in advance Jim

Whats the best MPG anyones had out of a Corrado?
Fanjita replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
Driving home in the VR at 70mph and no faster on the motorways, I usually get 38-40mpg, did the journey just yesterday and got 34, but I wasn't at 70 -
I did a journey on the M27, M3, M25 too! was on my way home in the VR, it was late though, i was travelling from 7pm. I too noticed a lot of people's cars had given up in the masses of traffic on the M25 :censored: but luckily mine soldiered on, thankfully!

Just saw a dark corrado parked up in a driveway on Christchurch road, Ferndown, Bournemouth just past the 2 mini roundabouts? Looked pretty standard, very clean tho.
-
exchanged waves with a green looking c, not sure what sort, was on ringwood road in longham, bournemouth. saw you pulling up to the roundabout i was using! nice looking motor.
-
just seen a green corrado, not sure which type as it's backed into a driveway on clairemont avenue in bournemouth? debadged front grille other than that looks relatively standard, was dropping someone off down the road and the passenger noticed your car!
-
I'd call it Aubergine by any other name to be honest, lots of friends do! Thanks goldie :salute: :salute:

Thanks fuzzer, you're not wrong but I think that's the charm of this particular colour!
-
Thanks mate, well it didn't take much to get her looking great, must be cos she was looked after haha
-
jesus that was quick, you didnt do all that already did you? some of it before you bought it? looks nice mate well done!
-
All good Darren, you weren't wrong, been really looked after. You're lucky you didn't have to replace the ignition switch though, thats a pig of a job, it's whats causing the intermittent starting, ie when nothing happens when you turn the key, at least i think thats the cause anyway, did you ever notice it? The roads are terrible round here to be fair, even worse in Bournemouth where I'm heading back to shortly, there must have been a meteor strike on the roads seriously!
-
missing it lots mate! had to do something about it sadly, you looking to buy the front spoiler? if you had a small version (was it 90mm and 50mm?) to swap i might be interested there. Thanks for the wheel info, they need a refurb though sadly :(

Hi all, Here is my new motor, had it about 2 weeks now, no major issues apart from the fuel pipes leaking which have been replaced now! Engine: -128,000 miles with a reconditioned head (at 127k) -De cat -Stainless Magnex Exhaust -New mounts -New Radiator -Engine transplanted at 150,000, with 127k on the new engine Interior: -Cloth Interior -LCD screen head unit, bit dodgy though, think the amp might be at fault -Parcel shelf 6x9s -Corrado Logo door sills Exterior -40mm (i think) coilovers, unsure of brand -Eyebrow spoiler -Inpro Angel Eyes, Front fogs and indicators, Side repeaters, and rear lights -Unknown brand of 17" alloys Runs great, no real problems, apart from i think the ignition switch is on it's way out. Very quiet idling, much quieter than my old VR. Here's some pics No plans really on what to do, I'm a student so I'll just try to keep the costs at a minimum, i might try to downsize the front splitter though as it keeps scraping on uneven roads! It looks like it's black but it's just the light, i guess thats one of the features of Dark Burgundy Pearl
