  1. Interesting! Can't tell if yours is different to mine from those pics, looks DBP ish! did you change to 5-stud just for the wheels?
  2. What kind of leak? If it's coolant, it could be the big metal pipe which runs down the right hand side of the engine block. If it's fuel, it would be from either the warm up reg or possibly the cold start valve, but you'd know if you had a petrol leak i would think.
  3. Stu, you're putting me out of a job!! :pale:
  4. Looks like a fun car matey! does that iboost pipe from the charger to the cooler that goes across the top of the exhaust manifold get warm?
  5. btw, i'm pretty sure those fuel lines you already have are braided, they just have plastic over the top. But fair play if you want to make the bay all shineee.
  6. Ohhhh, get you!! yeah a little bit. Bigger pipes lead to lower fluid velocities (fluid in this case is air). You really want to be keeping the air moving as fast as possible to get the most power out of it. Fundamentally, an engine's power is a function of how much air can flow through it (which is a very basic explanation of why 16vs will always outflow 8vs given the same block and parameters)
  7. So is it DBP or not? Will we ever know the colour?
  8. Why would you weld a larger outlet on? Doesn't the seller know ANYTHING about thermodynamics? :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:
  9. Update on Page 12 huh.... you sure about that? :dorky:
  10. Got annoyed. I have never felt so love/hate about ANY car, let alone a VW. Never thought it would happen, tbh.
  11. Gary, just leave VW employment, please. Every time I have left a list of parts with him, it comes back incomplete. God I'm pissed off.
  12. Must be because it can start on boost as opposed to the standing start where it would have to spool? Looks awesome though.
  13. Mmm, don't rate Brentacre that highly, been with them last year on both mk2s and they just didn't seem that bothered, very slow dealing with requests unfortunately in my experience.
  14. ah ok thanks. Seeing as my KR is only a 1.8 with a standard head and isn't even running so great, I think I will give that a miss. Cheers though.
  15. none of that is your stat. Nice 16v though :D
  16. Took delivery of more parts today, which means I could do with getting those parts off you sometime soon CazzaVR! will update when I don't have 8.2 truckloads of work :salute:
  17. Do you ladies offer a full dog-grooming service too?
  18. Depends massively on a whole host of things mate, where you live and the crime rate in your area, for starters. I'm 25 with 3yrs NCB and the same car and I pay £500 Fully Comp with a Toad immob (in Oxford, which isn't exactly the ghetto or a crime hot spot) which is prob about £400 TPFT so I think your price is really quite good! But yes, I think a lot of people have found that specialist companies are much better than standard companies esp if you're gonna do mods too. HIC, Flux, Brenacre, and Chris Knott all spring to mind. FREE PLUG!
  19. There's a Forced Induction VR6 thread on here mate, which is 70ish pages long iirc? People will only point you towards that so you might as well read it now! hth and Welcome! :D :salute: Jon.
  20. Yes steve, that's the one! Didn't know you were so creative, did you go to London Art College?
  21. Oooh, just in time for my KR rebuild and general Ron-sorting out! Cheers Andy, you're a good egg  :salute:
  22. AWESOME colour choice! I have a Mk2 Golf C in Alpine White and loved it to bits! looks really tidy Neil, good effort. Wish I was half as good with paint!
  23. This is not uncommon mate, a lot of sounds that you hear whilst driving cannot be replicated when the car is stationary, just for future ref. Does make troubleshooting a b
  24. ROFLCOPTERZZZZ!!!1111 If I was drinking something at that point in time, It would have become a projectile.
