Black 16v H*** CPK sat at uni (Oxford Brookes, Wheatley Campus)! That makes at least 4 corrados now at the same place. Mods, I think I deserve some ham or a twix or something

if your mum needs rid, you can throw it over to me in Oxford and i'll look after it! :D no problems. ---------- Post added at 09:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:37 AM ---------- why would you want a longer box on a VR? -
you mentioned spacers and gaskets, that's why I thought you weren't doing it properly! If you're going forged, why do you want a spacer in with the gasket?
-
I'm sure we could arrange some kind of Oxfordshire meet, although they have always fallen flat on their faces! Anyways, welcome to the forum. Great colour you have there :D
-
so as long as you don't run a splitter then you can use mk2 golf rad panels? :D
-
aaaah the missus. I understand now ;)

repost :)

until the pistons shatter. But still 60k is pretty decent mileage :)
-
Sorry, that still doesn't make any sense to me. Yeah a big engine will pull better on the motorway but it will use more fuel as the swept distance of the piston is longer (torquier).
-
Fair enough, I was referring to the track performance which they mention later in the OP.
-
shouldn't your diesel be more economical extra urban? or do you speed about on the motorways?
-
Yeah you're splitting hairs dude :D bigger calipers (assuming the same metal, and not lighter) will also affect unsprung mass but not rotational as, well, they don't rotate. You seem to be assuming I'm talking about straight-line acceleration, but actually I'm talking about lap time performance. Any added weight to the car will make it slower, especially if the high speed bump, low speed bump and rebound haven't been adjusted to compensate for this. Of course, this is only possible if the car has such suspension equipped. As you said unsprung mass affects suspension performance, which affects overall vehicle performance resulting in slower times.
-
increasing the unsprung mass means your car will be slower unless you have lighter wheels and have adjusted suspension to compensate :D
-
taking seats out of a corrado takes about 2 seconds, it's just the 10mm grub bolts holding them on the rail! You probs could have done it in the 2 hours it took you to get an adequate response :D
-
umm, the heated ones have wires coming out the bottom?
-
surely something like this will be the same across other models? try swapping the part number beginning for 191 to see if there are any mk2 equivalent items in stock. I'd be surprised if this little dooberry had a design change between the Mk2 golf and the C.
-
Recently noticed that my brake discs have gone rusty at the back as the car's been sat for so long. Unfortunately these are the new ones with new bearings etc etc :pale: No uidea why I didn't cover them! Is 2 years of flash rust going to be too much to skim off do we think? Would be nice to get going with SOMETHING on this car!
-
you're using a 16v head with the G60 block? which one? and why a k04 turbo? why use a gasket to drop the CR, why not do it properly...
