Does anyone have a picture of the old 9 spoke RS4 wheels on a C painted either either grey or black? (thats the wheels not the car). I have got the original silver wheels on my pearl green vr6, but think I would like a change. Cheers Rich

Sadly mine is a P reg Escort TD. It only cost £300 though and it gets me back and for to Devon and Peterborough regularly without missing a beat :) -

Yeah I contacted him through ebay as he is breaking corrado's and he said it is like brand new so would only take £120, he has got a 90mm as well which he would take £85 for but I know it would get wrecked in no time being that low. He said the 90mm ones were £175 through VW but have now been discontinued.

Yeah I seen their website but they look a bit too cheap, I have emailed them tonight and so will prob get a reply tomorrow. I have been offered a used one but the bloke wants £120 for it.

Does anyone know the price of a 50mm spoiler from VW? I am waiting to hear back from GPC to see if they still stock them and at what price. Just need a comparison. Thanks Rich

So a FI vr6 would be more than a match for most of these modern hot hatches/Coupes?

For what the whole rubber surrounds or just the door scraper? Like I said the door scrapers are about £45 each. Rich

No problem Andy, I would hate to hear of a man being put off his toast!! Definitely go brand new, they tend to get bent and out of shape when people remove them.

£45 is about right, I bought one from VW after speaking to GPC and them confirming that although they would be slightly cheaper basic by the time you add on VAT and delivery they would actually be more expensive. The guy at GPC actually advised me to get it from VW.

Where would I locate the jack on the bottom of the engine?

I have got to remove the crossmember from the front of my VR6 to try and remove a snapped bolt. I know the front engine mount is supported by this and I need to support the engine but not sure of the best way to do it. I don't have any lifting gear so it will have to be supported from underneath. Has anyone got a picture of this being done or good details on how to do it? Cheers Rich

Isn't it worth buying it back cheap, stripping the good bits off it and weighing the shell in?

wouldn't it be 15bhp? Is the standard 190bhp that is quoted measured at the crank and not at the wheel? Or is it that 205bhp quoted by Dukest is at the crank and not the wheel? Rich

I spoke to my local VW dealer yesterday to get a quote for just the part that the cross member bolts in to, £292.52 + VAT!! :shock:

Nope it was a modified vr6 and a standard 16v, I was wondering for a standard vr6 :scratch:
