timmaaah - You are clearly so utterly convinced that you are right - that it doesn't actually matter what anyone tells you (founded on science, fact or otherwise) because in your head - it doesn't change your thought pattern. I cannot explain the physics, nor do I know the answer to your question and would even go as far as to admitting that your statements do have a fair amount of logic behind them. My assumption is that bigger brakes are better because KevHaywire said so. That's what most of the 'fact' round here is based on ;)

Yeah - I think that's relatively easily doable (downpipe off mani) Last time I removed a CAT I had to just angle grind through the bolts as they were so rusted - that works pretty well! Suggest inlet/throttle body off to get better access as it can be a bit cramped otherwise, but I always go with the mantra of removing as little as possible unless it makes things particularly difficult

Bump! Lots of PMs but no one has come up with the money yet! -
I think the problem you'd have would actually be manoeuvring it all out in one piece - but I cant remember if I've done it this way before. Shameless as it might be - let me know if you want to get rid of your CAT. I'm after one!

Tropical fish - think I could get into this

Hahah - yep! I was really surprised someone else had a really big tank! I always swore that once I had my own place, I'd get a huge fish tank... so I did! (Had to take the door off the living room to get it in though! Thanks mate - I thought the layering you had going on in your tank was really nice :) Standard Juwel jumbo filter in mine - but I'd much prefer an external like your eheim! The comment about not changing water - I.E just topping up and not actually changing 20% every week or two..... how does the chemistry manage to cope with this without nitrates/nitrites building up? -
Oh God - we're going to get into a NA Vs FI debate soon!
-
Three hands and a foot.... actually ;) Good luck!

Are you talking about the plug with the 4 wires that connects onto the fan motor? If so - bollocks to needing a specialist tool - you can remove the terminals individually by pressing the retaining clips with a small electrical screwdriver from the front of the plug, one at a time. Need to apply a bit of pressure and pull on the wire/terminal whilst doing this, but can be done!

What's wrong with barbs!? Tigers, yes - but we have Gold barbs and Odessa barbs - they're wonderful friendly fish... we had some Cherry Barbs too at one point and they were great! We also found that Harlequins are really hardly and live for ages - we got 8 originally and we've still got six left after about 3 years. The comment about not water changing is really interesting - I've never heard that viewpoint before! Here's mine - 350L Juwel Trigon corner tank :) Uploaded with ImageShack.us 2 x 3 spot Gouramis 2 x Adult bristlenose plecs 30 odd baby bristlenose plecs(!) 6 x Harlequins 2 x Chain Loaches 4 x Odessa Barbs 4 x Gold Barbs 1 x Black Molly (in need of bitches) 6 x Algae eating shrimp 3 x Neon Green Rasboras -
Full magnex system with decat over here! Need a standard system and cat as a swap ideally.

sold Corrado Lupo Aero Wiper conversion kit (arms and blades)
mariojoshi posted a topic in Parts for Sale
No longer required as the car is going back to factory. Don't often come up for sale and are very very expensive new. Comes with both the arms and correct blades - work well at higher speeds... Corrado ones don't... as you probably know. Also look a lot tidier! Blades were fine when last used, but the car has been off the road for a couple of years so I can't make any guarantees. Rubber does not appear to be perished or frost damaged from initial inspection, but these are second hand items. £70 + £4 postage (if not collecting) Paypal (gift) or bank transfer Collect from Herts or Beds - happy to meet if not too far away to avoid postage costs Any questions, please ask - might whack em on eBAY if not much interest on here. Josh -
SOLD. Polished Corrado Gear Surround (Daves16v)
mariojoshi replied to mariojoshi's topic in Parts for Sale
Right - sold pending payment. PM on the way, Chris. -
I've got a full VR6 Magnex system with a de-cat, but I'd be after a swap for a standard exhaust system in OK nick and cash my way. let me know if you're interested. Josh
-
Paypal is fine (as a gift I presume) Don't really need the K&N if you wanted to discount the box and sell it separately (for which I think you'd get more takers and make more cash) Let me know what you want to do and your paypal address. Josh
-
Pete - I'm going to say £40 delivered, you're going to say meet me in the middle at £45. How do you want payment? Josh

No-one?

SOLD. Looked great in the car - but as it's going back to stock, this needs to go. Cosmetically overall in good nick, but has a few scuffs and scrapes from general use. All complete with upper, lower, nuts and washers... bar one normal round washer that was lost when removing. If I can find another one i'll send with it, but these things are literally pence from B&Q. Don't think Dave makes these any more which technically makes them ebay rare ;) Lovely build quality as with all of Dave's custom parts - puts anything you can buy in the shops to absolute shame. £25 plus £2.50 postage Or collect from Herts or Beds. Josh.

Brooklands Limited Edition Prints - CCGB National Day 2012
mariojoshi replied to CrazyDave's topic in Parts for Sale
Dave - we need to upgrade you to Lucia EX! -
As above. Don't mind if it's lightly drilled so long as it looks stock. Cheaper the better of course! Will need posting if not within an hour of Hatfield, Herts. Josh *** SOURCED - PLEASE DELETE ****
-
Thanks mate - but that's a little rich for my blood unfortunately!
-
Thanks matey - pref purchase together with the grille if possible!
-
Not my call - personally If someone offered to meet and collect versus postage of bulky parts, as a seller I'd always pick that option, unless it was significantly at the detriment of sale value. I'd also reserve the right to sell to who I wanted to sell to... I don't believe in all this dibs crap, we're all adults. The choice is absolutely yours - no bad blood on my side! Ta, Josh
-
Ditto to the above for whatever it's worth. (In Nottingham on Weds by the way)
-
Well - if it's ONO i'll give you £40 straight away. Will need to get it to Bedfordshire, but could meet or arrange something.
-
As above. Based in Hatfield - Herts - may collect if relatively local (also often up and down the country for work) Must be in VGC and have a picture available. Grille must be late/3 slat type Reply/PM etc. Josh
