It's just the N/A, so it's a 2.5L I4 8 valve. It's a dog compared to my Corrado, but it's a blast to take out on the winding country roads we have out here.
-
Yeah, they were put on by the P.O. back in '96. I don't drive it enough to replace them, and I'm getting ready to sell it. Yeah, it still drives excellent! Except when it comes to acceleration, I'm pretty sure my Corrado has it beat.
-
Yeah, and your mileage will be terrible.
-
So I took the Porsche out for a drive and a wash today. And for VW content, El Corrado sitting all lonely and sad in the garage...
-
No problem. I was in your boat about two weeks ago. Glad I could help :)

I don't know about the reverse lights, except what's already been said. With my rado I can average about 34mpg during the summer on the highway and about 28mpg in the city. During the winter it sucks all my money and runs about 24mpg highway and 18mpg city :(

I'm about to order a set of Koni coilovers. My friend has them on his SLC and swears by them. They're more adjustable, smoother, and about $200 cheaper than a set of Bilstein coilovers.

I've ridden in a G60 with a lysholm charger, and they're pretty fun. The big advantage to the stock g-lader is it has a very good amount of low-end torque that you won't get with the lysholm. The Lysholm charger will provide you with a better high-end torque than the g-lader, but about the time it really starts to kick in you'd want to shift. But over here, the Lysholm kit is more than I paid for the car so I'm sticking with a g-lader for now  Good luck.

I took this from the VWVortex, but it should contain all the info you need. :) The belt that you need to use as the serpentine belt is a 6PK-1505 or a Duralast # 592K6. It's a 6 rib belt, 1505 mm long.

Well, the guy that was selling me a new g-lader backed out and didn't tell me until last Thursday, so I didn't have time to get a new g-lader by this weekend to get it running. I have another one lined up and payed extra to ensure it's here by this Friday. I came home from my university anyways this weekend and tinted my tail lights and changed the colors of the LED's on my gauges and ordered the stuff to change the colors of the screen and the LED's in the switches. Pics of the tails and markers will be up this evening. PIcs of the guages and switches next weekend. -
Looks pretty good... It was a beautiful spring day and I really wish I had mine running :(

They really aren't, but there is a gray wire for the spoiler that runs through the radio area that is quite often cut and spliced together with a radio wire.
-
The spoiler: Try to lubricate it. I have a link for it around here somewhere, I'll try and dig it up. The relay: Check grounding points. That's where I would start.

Oh what.. Dropped into the hard to reach place
Traverse replied to 2_Door_fun's topic in General Car Chat
Not sure if its metal or not.... Anyways, we have a long, extendable stick with an extremely strong magnet and a light on the end for when we drop stuff down into those impossible to reach places. Geez, now I sound like I'm making a sales add  -
Just found this link that shows how to do the conversion... Just thought I'd share it :)

Yeah, that's what I've found out, and that's probably the route I'm going to take. Plus it looks cooler

No you don't need a full 16v engine, but some feel that it makes a better base for this platform due to the engine blocks breathing setup. It is the bottom end that tends to differ alot from install to install. This is a must read if you are serious. http://forums.fourtitude.com/zerothread ... 212&page=1 and again I would put all your questions in the 16v forced induction thread. It helps others later on if these queries are all in one place. ta. Thanks a bunch sir. I'll start posting all my questions over there, so this can be locked down! :)

You could probably find some kind of clear plastic, although if the plastic is what gives the actual color it seems like it would be much easier to just change that than the bulb.
-
So I'll need to get the full 16v motor, right? It looks like some still have the G60 motor in them and they claim it's a 16v, while others seem to have a completely different motor...
-
How do I change them? I know I have to be handy with a soldering gun... Also, what kind of bulbs do I put in? I'm looking to attempt to change the colors of them..
-
I'm looking for a good project for the summer. Anyways, if I wanted to make my rado into a 16v G60, what would I need? Would I need the entire engine block, or just the head (I know my terms are probably all messed up )

That sure sounds interesting! Something kind of like this happened when I still had the alarm in the Porsche. My friend was waiting in the car while I ran into a shop. The alarm in the car would short out if the car bumped the wrong way. Anyways, my friend reached over to do something and set the alarm off. To deactivate it we had to open the hood, cut the wire and then tape it off before we could start the car again  In other news, I wish I had an internet-capable mobile. Maybe some day if my rado stops eating my money :(
-
If you have the money and can support it financially, I'd say go for it!

I dreamt about her. :(
