    Car bras

Alot of people out here will just rock the bra on the hood and not the fenders, bumper, etc. Case and point: I've forgotten how odd mine looks with the silver wheels (far back)
  2. It looks much better now that you've cleaned it up. I'm also waiting for the interior shots.
  3. I would also agree... I think it needs some black on it, like the handles, rubstrips, etc., just for variety. But still, it's totally your car, so it's all up to you :)
  4. To give you an idea it's 11 degrees right now, not counting windchill. It's extremely windy and snowy. But I was mistaken... All that this package was offered with was heated nozzles, heated seats and heated mirrors. I'm not sure what cars I've seen them on, but I think all of the high-end manufacturers put out heated brakes.
  5. Yeah, we have heated brakes over here. We also have cooled brakes, I guess. I think the big question about installing the heated seats, is could the seats potentially catch fire? Also, where was the switch located at, for anyone who has these?
  6. I've got a couple of questions regarding the 'winter package' option. What was involved in it? I know it came with heated seats and heated wiper nozzles, and I think it also had heated brakes? Was it offered in 1990, and can you install the heated seats with the red-dot interior? How much work would it be to install all of the options excluding heated brakes?
  7. So do those numbers also include the US?
  8. Haha. A guy from my local club said "I would have told him that what I had wasn't a cell phone, but a small electronic demon box that was only good for sucking the souls from non-believers. Then I would have cracked his horse on the ass and watched his technologically non-advanced conveyance tear ass into the distance." I called the cobs because I was already pissed, and knowing some people, he had my plates memorized and would've reported me for doing things such as speeding, reckless op, DUI, and basically anything else he can think of, which would've ended alot worse in my situation. I don't think its safe to be driving a horse and carriage on open roads like that. In small towns where the speed limit is 25mph it's understandable, but not somewhere like that. I think our government should step in (first and ONLY time you'll ever hear me say that) and make some kind of regulations, but freedom of religion is in our constitution so they can't really do anything about it. I know what can happen if you scare a horse, I've been on one when it's been scared. Which is why I tried to go around it as slowly as I could, and I also shifted into fifth at about 40mph, leaving my RPMs under 2000 so it basically sounded like it was idling.
  9. I'm driving to the next town this afternoon, and the drive there from Ashland is basically just a long country road. I'm driving and it's just me on the road, except for the cause I'm going fifteen miles an hour: The Amish. Yes, there is an Amish man driving his horse and carriage in front of me. As soon as the road opens up to four lanes, I ease slowly around him, and apparently my car is too loud and scares the driver. I waved an apology as I saw him jump, and continued about my business. I want to take this time to state that I have nothing against the Amish folk. :D I stopped at a gas station about two miles down the road, and his horse must've been in hyperspeed and he pulled in with his horse and carriage as I'm getting ready to leave. He gets down and starts yelling at me, throwing things around such as "worthless," "delinquit," "juvenile," and "immature." He says a few others that I don't care to repeat right now. He then demands that I use my cell phone and call the closest police officer. I'm pissed and I just want to get on my way, but I go ahead and do what he tells me. The police officer shows up and asks me to start my car so he can see just how loud it is. I start it and I can clearly see that the officer is annoyed that he's there. I rev it a little bit and he tells me to turn it off and step out. The amish man continues to yell at the officer telling him to arrest me and impound my car. The officer tells him to settle down and then looks to me, doesn't say anything about my car being too loud or anything, and tells me I have a nice looking and sounding car and that he wishes there were more good looking Corrados on the road as he used to have one ( 8) ). He then tells me I can leave and I do so, a bit more relaxed after having a nice chat with the officer about the car while the amish man sits there sulking in his anger. But I ask how the hell my Corrado can a) be loud enough to scare the guy and b) does that warrant a call to the police? has anyone else had this problem or something like it?
  10. Very nice. And for a phone picture, that quality is amazing!
  11. That sounds really retarded? Why would they need to ban old cars? If anything the pollution would jump up for a period because theyd be having to find some way to get rid of old cars, be it exporting them or smashing them.
  12. Thanks a bunch. I've considered trading it for a VR or just doing the swap many times, but currently mine is the only working G60 in my local group, and all of the flack from them makes me want to keep going with my G60. I went out and took a not so bright engine pic:
  13. Updates: Fixed headlight relays Neuspeed performance chip Fixed windshield wipers It was a nice(er) day today, so I took a break from my monster of a paper today and felt I should do something productive. Before: After: Before: After:
  14. I've already got that taken care of. I have a new fender sitting in my garage at home, and I'm just waiting for the weather to clear up a bit more before I put it on so the fresh paint isn't instantly ruined by salt.
  15. I also think you're best off sticking with silver. Black with a silver lip MIGHT work, but I'm having a hard time getting a mental picture of that.
  16. So it's going to be a while before I can get a real two-toned job on my rado. Either way I'm still pretty sure that's what I'm going to do with it. But right now, I'm feeling that the current setup looks a bit too... immature for my tastes (if that even makes sense). So what I'm proposing to you all is this: Should I keep it how it is, or put it back to solid color until the two-tone happens? If it goes back to solid red I'm probably going to strip the paint off of the wheels and do them in a flat black type of primer without the silver lip, and I would keep the black grille on it, and either way I'm putting the stock plate holder back on the rear. I really have no idea what to do with it.... I still have the original red hood in my storage unit and the original red spoiler currently sitting in my trunk, but I think someone is buying it off of me. So money on converting it back over isn't an issue. The only problem is that the original hood gaps a little bit vertically on the drivers side and I don't want to pay the money to get it straightened out. Also the black hood that's currently on it is really in much better shape. Pics for reference. Current: Old (the paint doesn't look so faded anymore): So... What do you guys think?
  17. ^I might have some interior parts, and I'm in the states! PM me if you need anything and I'll check next time I'm at home.
  18. Sitting around in my friends room Recording some junk (the guitar is an Ibanez SA36, one of my few other loves, besides my rado ) That oh-so-typical-everyone-has-to-have-it-Myspace pic with my 1981 Gibson Sonex 180 Delux in the background (my other love)
  19. This is exactly how I feel about mine, except I couldn't even trade it up for a better one. Mine has too much character. Due to financial issues I'm selling my Porsche and I'll probably have to sell my Corrado and drive a hand-me-down Saab, but even posting the feeler for it on my local VW group made me tear up. :( I've not even owned it for half as long as my Porsche, but I'm way more attached to it, which is incredible because my Porsche has been my dating car and it was also the first car that I bought. Fuggin' Corrados.
  20. Awesome. I've been thinking about doing that to mine once I two tone the body :D
  21. I've had this same thing happen. And then I dumped her
  22. I put a roof from a '93 passat in mine about two months ago. I got it in and it wouldn't sit flat, then it started leaking. I didn't put tracks or anything, just the roof itself. Installation was easy, but troubleshooting it was a pain.
