Well im a little anoyed now had the car 2 weeks and ive got my first big dent, last night my m8 in his drunken state decided it would be funny to jump on the bonnet of my car, aint tried pushing it out but dont think itll come out that easy, all i could think of was a £300 bill for a new bonnet when he dived on it, stupid prick.

I have a 1990 1.8 16v and ive got the armrest with first aid kit hole inside and head rests, dont have the first aid kit though all i have is a small bottle of oil for emergencys thats my first aid kit, anyone else have the roadside triangle fitted in the center seat, the upright part, i found mine unused still sat snugg inside the seat.

You can fit 18's without any major mods, all you have to do is remove all the plastic covers inside the archs to make em fit not sure about what hight the car should be when putting em on im guessing u wont be able to drop it much when its got em on though.

Im going for smoked all round to match the quartz grey paint work.

Ive seen 21 inch wheels on a 911, looked sweet, made the disks look tiny.
-
Lol thats happened to me 2 fixed it last night, my dads shouting is it working and i said no then it sprayed out right into his gob

Yeah just a case of using soapy water so u can move the film about, most companys who sell tints, also sell aplication kits 2 with full instructions, why not buy a roll first and try it out only a tenner or so plus a fiver for the application kit, could save u a few quid in the long run.

Whats the worst car you have ever owned ?
Beetlebug_2001 replied to slot's topic in General Car Chat
Well ive only had a few cars lets see first car was a baja beetle, nova kit car(not vauxhall was VW), ragtop beetle, mk3 polo coupe and now corrado, was given a diahatsu domino for nowt and flogged it for 50 quid thats the worst i guess cos beetles rock and all other dubs so has to be the stupid little jap motor. -
Im gonna do my tints myself, done em before and got no cracks but when doing one window i used the plastic smother thing with the kit and it scrathed the film so just used a cloth after that with soapy water ect, my C is quartz grey so im only going for a smoked look so it matchs up nicely with the paint work.

Whats the most girliest car you can buy?
Beetlebug_2001 replied to sefton's topic in General Car Chat
The siecento is more girly ive never seen a bloke drive one ever, corsa's are girls cars 2, my m8 has the new 1.8 sri corsa and he thought he was class, well up until the point i told him i had a corrado and his voice changed to being very nervous, to which he said bet my cars still faster so i said yeah may well be but at least my car was built as a sports car and isnt just a souped up shopping trolley, i rest my case. -

Beetlebug_2001 replied to CorradoVR6-Turbo's topic in General Car Chat
Ok guys i know i said i only spent 4.95 on my C so far but while going through stuff with log book of money spent i found that one of the previous owners (a woman) had been ripped of big style on maintanence alone and following the last bill she sold the car read on and you will understand why: 20/07/98: 1 washerstork £43.95 1 o/s front fog lamp £73.86 1 n/s/f indicator £26.70 4 uniroyal 185 55 r15 £294.54 4 valves £8 4 balance £16 labour: £64.00 TOTAL: 618.81 10/08/98 1 2nd hand caliper £28.00 labour: £32.00 TOTAL: £100.50 18/03/99 1 oil filter £5.35 1 Air filter £12.15 4 spark plugs £18.36 screenwash £1.25 anti freeze £5.50 brake pads front and rear £45.61 copper slip £3.00 1 expansion bottle cap £9.35 1 Valve £2.00 labour: £128.00 Total: 290.13 23/03/99 1 Radiator Fan Unit £76.85 labour: £32.00 Total: £127.90 05/08/99 1 oil filter £6.21 1 air filter £10.43 4 spark plugs £18.36 screenwash £1.25 copper slip £1.25 1 exhaust rear section £122.96 labour: £107.00 Total: £356.01 On the final bill there was a lot of prices crossed out and changed for lower values so she must have complained or done price checks these bills where all from the same garage and yes the dates are correct some being only a month after a previous visit, dunno if i can name the garage so i wont until im asked, is it just me or is this shocking. -

Wait for it.......... £4.95  ive only had it for a week though needed to top the oil up a little when i got it so ive spent that much on it excluding petrol. -
If it hasent had a service anytime recently that could be the cause down to bad sparks or knackered HT leads, if it hasent been serviced recently id start there, first with plugs then if the plugs do not fix it try the HT leads, HT leads can be pricy so try changeing the plugs first, could also be the distributer cap, check inside for wear on the pins inside the cap, then if still no joy could be down to the coil, also check the rotor arm inside the distributer, or if u dont mind paying out a few quid take it to a vw dealer and for about £20 they will hook it up to a computer and pin point the problem straight away.

Its a 1990 H, its done 120k miles but has recepts all the way back to when it was bought brand new, im the 5th owner, set me back £2000, only 2 probs with it little bit of bodge on bottom of the door which im gonna sand down and paint and the drivers side door handle has broke, theres a few corrados for sale at http://www.exchangeandmart.co.uk, http://www.autotrader.co.uk, http://www.loot.com, http://www.carsource.co.uk and try the VW sites. -
Just done the mod today also, don't know how long its gonna take to lose the big smile on my face, already had a K&N pannel filter installed so not sure how much difference there is in sound to the standard filter, drilled 16mm holes on the side thats closest to the wing and added the cold airducting also, feels a little more responsive but all i wanted was the sound so thats a bonus, got full install instructions from the scotland corrado club website in the downloads section.
