Down to personal preference mate. What I like you may hate. Try getting a listen to a few mates installs or hit a few audio shops and ask for a demo. The p88 is one of the best mate. If you still want to swap it out for an alpine let me know, mines going as soon as I source a p88...

Have you got any pics of it H? How come the auto's only came with sumo guards? That's not fair!!! Oh and is it steel or alloy?

I like the naked look too but mine being an early lump doesn't have the individual coil packs and so the ht leads run across the inlet making for a pretty ugly look. Lol Ice is being torn out buddy, still on the hunt for a pioneer p88rs. I'm starting my speaker builds too so should sound awesome. Need to have a new sub box made up though. ---------- Post added at 7:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:15 PM ---------- On another note my vr6 grill badge arrived today courtesy of little andrew (thanks mate). That's not the exciting part though... Just check out how well it was wrapped lol. The badge was wrapped in loads of bubble wrap which was inside a cardboard tube which was covered in lots of bubble wrap which was in another tube of card which was inside bubble wrapped envelope lol. Love it! :)

Hi guys, anyone have a sump guard or had one made up? My alloy sump (24v) is already leaking a little and I don't want to fit another untill I've sorted some sort of protection for it. I know the r32 sumps are shallower but are still alloy and prone to shattering when running low. Only alternative I currently have is a 12v steel sump but they hold about 1/2 litre less oil iirc and I'm not sure I want to risk it to be honest. Cheers Abdul

Rob, your ears can hear it mate, you think you cant hear it because you've not heard a stereo capable of playin it lol. Oh and it's a secret until its done, if it fails I'll have to fork out for spoonfeds. You can feel it too if u play it loud enough lol. Rams, straight to the door mate, trying to keep the standard pods too. Sorry if my last post came across harsh btw, just trying to get a point across. It's very much a case of you don't know what your missing until you've experienced it. :)

There is no way the audioscapes can substitute a proper mounting to a sealed door I'm sorry. If you think They made for good midbass output you haven't really heard a good sound system. There is also no way that they can negate the need for a sub. The difference between the bass that a set of 6.5" midrange speakers make and a sub make is miles apart. Most people don't realise what they're missing though. Your mids might be able to play down to 30hz at low volumes but try turning it up while driving and watch them die a slow death. Basically audioscapes are ok and that's about it. Spoonfed's aren't just about lookin pretty (which they do). The point is to mount the mids to the doors for proper midbass, not the girly stuff. For your average joe the audioscapes will suffice. For anyone into their music take a look at the spoonfeds or make your own which is what I'm doing.

Even then they're still no good if you really like your music as the mids are still mounted to the doorcards. Spoonfed tunings doorpod set up is the best yet by a long way but it's not cheap.

Im guessing it's just my iPhone screen but they look like they have a hint of blue/green? Look nice either way mate, black didn't suit em IMO.
