I gave the car a quick wipe down today, it's had a respray and im going to try and restore the finish with the rotary when the weather gets a bit better but in the long run it needs a respray for me to be happy. Excuse the **** poor iPhone pics.. Oh no I agree, I reckon 220-225 is spot on for mine, certainly feels it. I meant that I'm sure I could pull 240 (or close to) on an optimistic dyno with the right temps etc. Figures are all a bit meh really, a mate had his 140 pd golf tdi mapped with a decat exhaust and it pulled over 200 brake on the tuners rr which we know is BS lol. Jake, I got the custom code phase 2 on mine and it goes well, i mean properly well. I wouldn't bother with phase 2 unless you chuck on a few more bolt on tuning bits. Only thing cheap is a decat and a decent CAI really... :)

To be honest Kev I don't see the big deal with the BDE lump, Ye u can use r32 cams and it's got better vvt but to be honest the power delivery is the same (they did the upgrades for emissions apparently) and it's less grief having 6 coilpacks as they go alot more often (confirmed by local vw specialist, my dealer parts guy and PSI tuning). I read somewhere it's difficult to map the older lumps but mine was rr'd at 222bhp with just a decat, BMC and stage 2 custom code map so they can definitely be mapped and according to custom code its easier! I don't think the engine code will matter to most buyers, it did to me but even then I settled for an earlier model. Did ya get my Pm Kev?

With the above bodywork info I would say 3k tops to be honest if you want it gone. The market is pee poor and the die hard rado fans won't want anything other then original. But then your car has more or less all the mods that will appeal to modified car fans (think edition38) so you may get more interest and more money on there! Who did the conversion?

Mileage on lump? Mileage on shell? What coilovers? What brakes? Has the car had its bushes etc done? When was last service and how long is the tax and test? Oh and how many owners? Sorry for all the questions but I've just bought one so I reckon I can give you a decent idea of what's what...

I reckon yours looked best on standard wheels to be honest. All the 17's manage to look too big on your car for some reason IMO. Maybe it needs a 90mm splitter or more lows?

I hate the badge it's got one on the rear too along with smoked aftermarket lights! Lol don't worry it's all going, I wanted to tear off the badges yesterday before I left Stoke but it started snowing hard so I left as quick as I could lol.

Sorry Rob it's still on quite thick and I don't want to wipe it off as it'll end up scrubbing dirt onto the paint! I just taking a look at the car and it's definitely had a respray but not a good one unfortunately. The paints very dull with no gloss to it but when the snow buggers off the rotary will be out for a day or two!!

Thanks mate, they're feckin huge, my cars going no where lol! The add was utter crap plus it needed a new battery, mot (and a few things to get it through mot) and a service which wasnt mentioned. As soon as I saw it I recognised it from UD so called the chap and made the deal! Even with the above it was still a bargain but it also goes to show how bad the market it. Thanks mate, the power on tap is pretty ridiculous but the brakes really peed me off! I was thinking of going back to 312's but the Porsche calipers look soo good!
