  1. Just keep mine in the boot in a plastic box with all the other just in casers; oil, water, coolant, brake fluid, cable ties, and road rage knife  :nono:
  2. Just fitted the ECP one myself 3 hundred miles ago,ok so far. Annoying thing was the orginal one looked mint when it finally came out with only a hairline crack in the plastic neck that has caused my car to stink of coolant. Did it without removing the whole dash, nightmare, but if doing again would take about 3 hours. A wee tip,wd40 nuts screws the night before, especially the screws in the engine bay bulkhead. If the heater box screw just spins when turning keep turning as it comes free eventually from the housing.Enjoy
  3. Laid mine up last winter, never again, big mistake. Knackered my discs, pads and calipers on the front, Bugga
  4. Yep,as i was saying a plasticy mazda 3 or whatever made to look all butch in a touched up photo. :D
  5. Scirocco just looks like a slightly modified plasticy Mazda 2/3 or whatever to me
  6. Try WD40 on it. I heard it shifts the marks left after youve cleaned the shyte off. Havent tried it myself as i dont really have the shyte problem :D
  7. Hi David, its above the exhaust manifold just in front of the engine bulkhead behind a heat shield. The car runs and this little broken nipple connector thingy is sucking in air . The really thin pipe that used to connect to it before i broke it appears to come from the throttle body. It would glue it if i could find a superglue that would actually work. Dont know if the car will drive ok without it,doubt it,maybe its there to suck in warm air in winter to aid starting? just dont know? Edit, starting to look like brake servo as you say, trying to find a picture so i can describe it better.
  8. Guys i just broke the little air pipe thats at the back of the engine above the exhaust manifold. It snapped where it joins some sort of nipple type connection on a bigger black pipe which has a yellow round banded type connection to it. Sorry dont know what these things are called,is it a maff pipe or something? Tried to glue it but my superglues are rubbish. Any ideas what i can do? Thanks if you can help out. :notworthy:
  9. One hour for a matrix job MY A*SE ! Just finished doing it, took me hours, nightmare. And that was without taking out the dash. I bet he`d charge you 6 hours labour to do it minimum, 1hour yeh right :D
  10. Can you pm me details for a passenger side repair kit please, cheers.
  11. Mine was earthed on the front drivers side suspension top mount, well out the way of grunge hopefully. Found a spare pump so hopefully it`ll be the answer, doubt it, its a corrado so its never easy
  12. Glad your all sorted out now Raddoman. Thinkmine may be something else unluckily, had 2 broken lambda wires last year and fixed em,new earth was done also,im suspecting the fuel pump in mine, just cant remember which one was done 4 years ago :confused4: Just done matrix so no job looks too bad when compared to that what a nightmare  Cheers for the suggestions dude,no harm in checking them out eh :salute:
  13. Same here Raddoman, mine was only 6 months old so came off easy, but still have an occasional missfire i havent sussed yet
  14. God what a feckin horrible pain in the ass job that was.Took many hours but did it without taking out the dash. Cheers for the guide by hte way.

  16. Have done the search but havent found an answer yet. When mines upto running temp Im getting a missfire, can be 10 mins into a journey or 50 mins? If I pull over switch off and start again its ok again. Have recently replaced diz cap, rotar arm, leads, plugs, fuel filter and cleaned isv. Any other ideas out there in 16v land? Cheers for any suggestions,it s now starting to :censored: me off :salute:
  17. Mine finally refused to start theother day after being difficult for a few weeks. Turned out to be dirt/crud/loose connection in a wee plug that sits just in front of the dizzy ,starts no problem ,just need to clean isv now :D
  18. Nice one,ta very much will do. Got my 1 and 4 *rse about t*t :D
  19. Was looking to change my leads again because of a misfire. Ive done rotor, plugs, leads, dis cap already but cant change lead 1 because of the little black doughnut. Its now about 7 years old and needs changing I think. Is this a knock sensor and it plugs into the isv i think. What to do? :cuckoo:
  20. Bad news indeed,I`d be gutted if I lost mine Almost lost Mine last year when some :censored: **** on here sold me a dodgy light switch.Fitted it and the loom melted and almost caught fire. Luckily after blowing hard it didnt catch light and destroy my car. So beware, always buy a new switch not second hand and I now carry a fire extinguisher just in case.
  21. NO on one side, slowly on the other, may well be a different problem i had/have. Bad brake fluid?
  22. Hope u get the answer. Same happened to me,new front discs/pads fitted then abs came on,then drivers caliper seized on,2 days later passenger seized on. New calipers fitted abs still on? Sensors done 2 years ago, were ok before new brakes. :cuckoo:
  23. Dont understand how this hasnt been stopped by now.Cant use these things in Scotland. If your feeling nasty you could always stick a few razor blades around the back of the boot and slice the barsteward up when they come to remove it. Then again better not :nono:
  24. Did the police ever drive rado cop cars? That would have been one menacing lookin cop car :)
  25. Just wait till it hits £1.50 a litre. Then it will get worse as the pound gets weaker and weaker. Time to take a stand RIOT
