  3. imported the b and a licences from gt4 prologue, but didnt bring over any of my gt3 credits...more fun building up to the big motors so it feels like you earned it! currently blatting about in a 80's RX-7 with 255bhp, which is nice! IMO it 'feels' better than the previous GT's, I've not played one since prologue a few months back so I was a bit rusty, but I've finding it easier than previous versions to get into. the photo mode is fun too!

I've just sent this reply... Hi wood blair! I'm very happy you're interested in my car, however I fell I must tell you the truth. Last wednesday while attending a local birdwatching convension my car was set alight by an angry chaffinch. The whole rear quarter flange edge is burned to a crisp and the flux capacitor needs serious attention. I have also recently discoved an otter living in the fueltank. Obviously this increases the value of the car somewhat and I would like an additional £30,000 for the livestock. many thanks. Chris.
  6. why not buy two? twice the power! :D
  7. original VW parts can be expensive if they're corrado specific, but the beauty of the valver is that as Mike said, they're basically a mk2 16v with bits of passat thrown in for good measure which means pretty much any mechanic is going to know their way around the engine and the parts are pretty reasonable. Servicing isnt too bad, my last 2 cost me about £120. the better the car you buy obviously the better the servicing is going to be. as well as G&S you've got 'euro car parts' who are pretty good.
  8. stock performance is 138ish BHP, and valvers always perform better at high revs (basically thrash the bo**ocks off it!) They're not a sluggish as people think, though obviously they're no match for a vr or g60. tuning wise its a bit of a minefield. You cant get an induction kit for them, the best you can do is a panel filter and drilled airbox with a cold air feed. In terms of what you can do to the engine dont expect mega tuning potential without turboing it! Theres a forum member called 'Flusted' whos got his valver running at just over 160bhp, which is the most I can recall seeing without spending a fortune. Theres a few fairly simple mods, and plenty of threads covering them if you use the search. I think dispite having less power you'll enjoy the corrado more than your cav, its just got 'something' about it that makes it a bit special!
  9. i'm wishing i kept the old sebrings now so I could sell the borbets seperatly, I sold them a while back and got stung by a rubber cheque  but you live and learn. Its a funny market place for corrado's, theres not many of them about making them rare and desirable, but conversly they're not 'that' well known so theres not many non-vw enthusiasts looking for one. ho hum! I'm just getting itchy feet for the vr thats waiting for me, the cars only been up for sale for a week, i've had one call from a guy in wales offering £1600 which I turned down... still plenty of time.
  10. looking through ebay auctions, sales on here and adverts on autotrader valvers seem to be worth SFA! I'm asking 2k for mine, which personally i think is really cheap for what the car is! look at the other stuff you can get for 2k! I'm starting to doubt I'll get that for it though, and I hate the thought of having to drop the price to little over a grand which is what other valvers seem to be going for.
  11. which doesnt help when you've put more cash into it than it appears to now to be worth! :(
  12. thats my point about the mini and the beetle, the TT suffers from the same fate, its unimportant how well the car drives, they have a 'trendy' stigma which does them no favours, I'd hate to see the corrado go the same way!
  13. am i the only one that hopes they WONT make a new corrado? look at the 'new' mini and the 'new' beetle - do you really want that fate for the C? If anything the audi TT is probably the spiritual successor, or at least the closest current VAG equivalent.
  14. I know, I was thinking that too, but theres no way i'm breaking this car, its had too much time and care put into it to take it to bits!
  15. nice link dinkus - cheers! I didnt realise you were selling yours jim!
  16. cheers Jim, just tried posting it on there but you have to request posting access to the 'for sale' forum :( I want to shift it quickly, but I cant really knock the price down to get a quick sale as i need to fund the vr6 thats waiting to empty my wallet! Theres a halfords just around the corner from work, I think I'll make some 'for sale' signs up and park it outside there all day! :D
  17. £12.50 for the calendar and £200 postage due to the weight!
  18. I've not seen a Q plate for years! I assumed they'd stopped using them like godskitchen...
  19. I'm selling up! any tips on where to advertise my car other than autotrader, this forum, PVW's website and local papers? any other good forums/sites that people have had sales through?
  20. yup i'd pay £12.50 for one, and I think it should be 'our' cars rather than show cars since theres some beautys on here!
  21. i guess they're worried about half finished pages and sloppy design work! The company's main business is industrial filters and purifiers, theres alot of chemicals and hazzards involved in the production of them, but it still seems heavy handed. The thing I'm most annoyed about now it sunk in is the way I felt like I was being pressured into confessing to something I'd not done, and the humiliation of having to be escorted to the toilet where they put bleach in the bowl, selotaped up the taps and wouldnt allow me to flush the toilet or wash my hands til they'd been in to check i'd not been up to anything. Not sure how to approch it tomorrow but I'm definatly going to have words.
  22. nah its legal, I'd just looked it up and so long as you give consent (which i did) its fine. This is interesting though... 'If you take Ibuprofen (the over-the-counter pain killer) you will test positive for taking cannabis. This is a fairly well known 'false positive'. Others famously include poppy seed bagels leading to failed tests for Opium and night-nurse style remedies causing people to fail for cocaine. Stating any unprescribed medications that you may be taking can be a key part of beating the test by creating the legitimate need for a subsequent re-test. This can be expensive if you are in the unfortunate position of being forced to pay for your own test, as is the case in some jobs and private schools' I took 2 tablets this morning for a headache, no idea if they had ibuprofen in but I'm damn sure i'll be finding out.
