  1. as this has been asked about a few times and as my car seems to be one of the few that has (or has had) twin inxx lifters fitted, I've taken some high res snaps of the locations of the 4 bolts. I've tried to provide angles that'll allow you to work out exactly where they should go, but if they're not right or people feel they need another shot of something just give me a shout. download them here in a .rar file (3.89MB) cant take credit for fitting them, that was done by Chris VR6NOS and H8RRA.
  2. I'd think the metal is cut in such a way as to privide grip on OEM and aftermarket metal pedals where as cars which usually have rubbers on the pedals arent going to have anything to provide grip underneith.
  3. mmm lovely! looks like its had new headlights too?
  4. spent 2k+ on the old one in 18 months, I spent about £500 on this one before I even got my hands on it!
  5. they look superb mate, looks like the plastic welding's been done really well! who did them and what was the cost?
  6. well at least you're one step closer chris, its back on the road! you know you've got the skills to make it something VERY special ;) I'll take mine out and get some nice photos once the sun comes out again, all my recent attempts look rubbish due to bad light :(
  7. first owner of my old 16v was female, and theres a handful of female members on here.
  8. aww...i was expecting a mk1, a skijump ramp and some double decker buses! still a nice bit of video-work mate, that golf looks too nice to be risking low level flight!
  9. most of the TT wheels suit the C, but i've got a feeling audi's are a different offset? voodoo 2's? I'm sure i've seen a C with some one and it looked quite nice, but IMO yes, a slight dish looks better.
  10. just found this little page...hours of fun! corrado club netherlands styling page
  11. the SZ's a funny old thing design-wise, it shouldnt work but somehow it does! its just a big slabsided box with wheels and a roof...but it looks SO good 8)
  12. right, my impression... very nice! I like the styling close up (not having seen one that close before), looks very squat and planted on the 18's, inside was a bit...plastic...but still quite nice. speed-wise, dad was driving and didnt go mad but booted it a couple of times and it goes very well, although it didnt feel anywhere close to 70 odd bhp more than a vr6, and not even close to the acceleration of a supercharged VR. I liked it, but i wouldnt pay for one.
  13. dad works for nissan and coincidentally is borrowing one of these tonight (although I'm not sure if its the GT) so I'll let you know what I think after I've been out in it! :D
  14. not a great deal really! they're both k plate, both the same colour... only difference at the moment is that mines on the road and his isnt! Mines actually crash repaired (photos in chris's member gallery) but its spot on and I'd never have known unless I saw the pics and the car before the respray. Chris is a perfectionist though, just the knowledge it'd been in a bump was enough for him to change. He's a 'bit' gutted now, keeps saying he wishes he'd not sold it to me...but hes not getting it back!
  15. what you playing at coxy? pull your finger out! chris already has the charger and nos on the new car, rather than take all his bits and bobs off one engine and put them back on the other he basically just swapped the whole engine over! only downside is my clocks read 160k when the engines really done 120k.
  16. my old valver had keep fit windows too, combine that with the massivly long throw of the gearshift which made it like rowing a boat it was the total home gym solution! I can now slob about with leccy everything and a short-shifter...i'm going to be SO fat ;)
  17. from what I'm told satin silver VR's are quite thin on the ground... up until recently chrisvr6nos had 2! (greedy git) it'd be nice to know some official figures for how many cars in each colour were produced, just for the stat nerd in me
  18. yeah its a private plate but it'll be coming off soon as chrisvr6nos is yet to transfer it, under the reg number it says 'supercharged vr6 nos' which is a bit of a lie ;) planning on keeping it for a while, so its evolution/transformation might be a slow one. I'd love to go down the route a20lee has, but I dont have the cash and it'll be a daily driver so its not really practical. at the moment I'm thinking more along the lines of what OSV's done, sort of OEM+ but a bit more + than OEM if you see what I mean!
  19. shhh! dont give the game away ;)
  20. what engine is in the car? the vr is a bit heavier and might need a bit higher psi.
  21. pic added to my first post, really doesnt do it justice!
  22. its lowered, although I'm not sure exactly how much! its alot lower than my old one which was 40mm down, so i'd say something like 60mm on (i think) koni's. The front brakes are black dimond jobbies which chris kindly left on for me, but pretty much everything else was put back to standard before i got my hands on it. I did some stuff at the weekend like fitting my headunit and some speakers in the dash, putting in my momo gearknob and steering wheel and I've got some other goodies to go on asap. really must start a members gallery thread! in fact if any of the mods are reading this, could you move it to the members gallery section and I'll change the thread title...
  23. I'll get some pics up as soon as I've got matching wheels on it (possibly tonight) its a bit too embarasing at the moment! Ford - the colour is very simular to your avatar pic, does satin silver normally have that slight purple tint to it? not sure how much the respray was, chris had it done shortly before he decided to sell it
  24. that clock is probably the most tacky thing i've ever seen!
