  1. I'm in the same boat Sam. Does this mean you've bought one? Nick
  2. The suits have ruined one of the best races in years, way to go FIA. I've got a mate who's a die hard Fezza fan and even he thinks the decision is wrong and the penalty grossly unfair. Nick
  3. It does have that, it just seems a bit shonkly. I guess the fact the cable's always under tension helsp. My bush is quite worn (ooh er!) so I'll pick one up tomorrow. Cheers for that :-) Nick
  4. Hi Folks, My throttle cable decided to come off my peddle today which was slightly annoying! My question is how should it fit the peddle arm? Mine seems to just poke through, surely it should have a split pin on the end or something? Nick
  5. As far as I know those wheels were never fitted to a Rado and the spare should be a space saver. As to what they are I have no idea! Nick
  6. I actually really wanted a yellow one but this one was local, in my budget (just!) and too good to turn down. Mines not idling right at the moment either mate, seems the valvers have this issue no matter what colour they are, ha ha. Nick
  7. All booked in with a mate for fitting of the KR cam on saturday :-) Looking forward to feeling the difference on the way up to Players next sunday. Nick
  8. I actually like the breadvan ones quite a lot! Nick

Congrats mate, have fun in your Rado. nick

    Rear lights?

I think you have to make your own with film or chav spray. Nick
  12. Blimey that seems a bit extreme! I'm on a tight budget so swapping that out isn't an option at this stage. Does anyone know what inputs other than vacuum and the ISV the 9A uses to set the idle? I can then test these in order and see what I can find. Nick
  13. Hi Folks, I did a search on idle issues (I also posted about them before when I had my passat) and I've had a check on the car but I'm a bit stuck. The symptoms: * Starts fine from Hot or cold * After 5 mins idle drops to about 750 from 800 * Couple of mins later it drops to 500 and car shakes (as it would at 500rpm) and it stalled once. * If I turn it off and then on again (Can you tell I work in IT?) it idles at 1,100. * After a few minutes idle returns to 800 and everything seems to be fine from then on. I've checked all the vacum hoses and they seem fine, checked the induction hose thingy to and that also looks fine. The ISV seems to be buzzing, I thought about swapping it out for the one in my 9A powered passat but they look different. Has anyone else had these exact symptoms? It leads me to think it maybe something electrical and not vacuum or air leak related as a "reboot" seems to cure it. It could be a sensor but without a bentley/haynes I've got no idea which ones to even start testing. Your thought's fellow valver owners? Nick
  14. In a Golf the centre console comes out which makes it easier, looking at the Rado dash there's a lot more of the main dash that's in the way. I'm sure it's possible but I would imagine far harder to get it out and back in again. I've done 3 golf ones and a B3 passat but not a Rado. It's a horrible job on all VAG car's of this era. Nick
  15. Judging by his feedback he seems like a decent bayer who's bought a few dub bits, give it a few more days but I can imagine your gagging to get your mits on it! Nick
  16. That's deffo not normal, get it down there and show them what's up. Nick
  17. Here ya go: http://the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/H ... eplacement Nick
  18. That's LOW! Looks pretty cool though. Nick
  19. Yikes! I would be looking at ball joints and wishbone rubbers for that bad boy. Get it up on the jack and wiggle it about while it's up in the air and see if you can see where the movement is compared to the other side. Nick
  20. Yup that'll be a blown heater matrix. A right pig of a job it is too. I recall the Haynes states you need to remove the entire dashboard on a Rado but I think you can just about do it without. Set aside a whole day though as it's a very labour intensive job! Can't help on the blower, sorry. Nick
  21. 70,000 miles? Seems pretty good to me seeing as they're put under a lot more stress than the standard items due to the greater stiffness of the springs. Standard shocks on drop 40s would never last that long as a comparison. Still a pain in th ebum though especially if you've just lost your job. Nick
  22. That kit suits the Astra soooooo much better than the Rado. I'll go as far as to say that that Astra actually looks better than a standard one. Nick
  23. Humm interesting. I reckon if you took that kit for the rado and smoothed it off and perhaps reduced it'd width slightly it would look amost like a Rado Rallye and not too bad.* Nick * I have no intention of doing this, just thinking out aloud!
  24. I don't think it's that bad and would probably look OK in a decent colour and the whale Tail changed for something more subtle. Would love to see a shot of the back and how those arches blend in back there. Nick
  25. Oh yes we're talking about this bad boy! I think this is the same car some years later: I know it's not to everyone's tastes and TBH I'm not over keen on it myself but it cropped up on the Golf GTI forum I use and I wondered if anyone knew it's current whereabouts and owner etc. It's a bit of British Modified Car Culture history this one!
