  1. Possible. Seals are easy to replace in the charger so not too much hassle
  2. Bahn Brenner aren't cheaper, after postage, import duties and VAT it'll be over £190! That's why we set up with them and aim to keep our prices at a good level for the Uk. Bar Tek are mega cheap on certain stuff and mega expensive on others, if I can compete I do, my prices are as cheap as I can do them and stay open! But as you know Bar-Tek don't do the RSR kit which BBM do. :)
  3. Sounds odd! Could be charger oil seal (does sound a lot of oil though) I'd make sure the breather system isn't blocked at all, plastic cap on rocker cover could back pressure the engine. Might even be oil pump over working and pressuring everything up. Could be head gasket too but a bit more extreme
  4. I assume those people have 1.8T engines? It's really down to you, there's plenty of power to be had from a G60! As above 200bhp from standard will cost you approx £4-500, which is pretty cheap for 40bhp! Any engine to tune isn't cheap if you start chasing big figures, and they're all about the same. 6 cylinders are obviously more as there's another 2 cyliders to buy parts for. A quick run down from ourselves for a base - 68mm pulley, 315cc injectors, 268/260 camshaft and a chip to suit would cost £475 in parts, this setup will clear 200bhp easily :) Even if you were to swap in a 1.8T for example similar mods and a re-map will cost more and they're limit is a solid 300ft/lb of torque before rods start bending! Plus keeping the factory engine is going to keep the car that little more special now and keep it's value up
  5. Well Dubforce tuning chips are a lot better than Jabba that's for sure! Standard pulley is 78mm. I'd also be a bit mad not to say take a look at our charger servicing too :D
  6. I always advise sticking with paper filter too, there's no gains from another style filter. All that does happen is they get mucky and let dirt pass into the charger. We're soon to be bringing out a paper cone filter induction kit but still looking for the ideal filter :)
  7. Might be worth cleaning the ISV out, this is the unit on top of the rocker cover in front of the inlet manifold. You might get ticking around the FPR as the injectors do tick. Air/Fuel mix is adjusted by the CoPot on the boost pipe leading to the throttle valve, but I wouldn't advise messing too much if you're unsure. Sounds like it might just need a quick tune up. Is it chipped?
  8. All coil packs apart from early 1.8T versions are just push on. The only problems is then height of them and bore diameters. They're designed to seal into the rocker cover on the engine they come from as well as onto the spark plug. But knowing VW they'll all probably be the same  I know TFSI ones fit 1.8T's but the 1.8T rocker needs adapter plates as they're taller so don't fit snug :)
  9. Sachs, Valeo, LUK are all part of the same group so you're getting the same thing just in different boxes anyway :)
  10. We're looking to bring out shortly, will be around the £400 mark with quality and performance being top priority. The G-Werks ones were always regarded as top quality, a lot of people have ventured into the cheaper ones being sold throughout Europe but the quality is very poor I find 99% of the time.
  11. You might not all be aware but the oil feed line for the chargers has recently gone obsolete! :( They're a set length and diameter to keep the flow and pressure at the charger right, if these are changed it effects both these factors and damages the bearings or reduces their life quite easily! This has been found when people have tried to make their own feed line. Luckily I've managed to secure a source of the genuine lines from the company that supplied direct to VW :D Here's a link to them on my site, they come with new banjos and washer as standard http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/oil-feed-line-g60-g40.html

    WMI on g60

I've known a few people use it but it is a bigger gain on turbo cars as they just get hotter and hotter IAT's up the revs, with a supercharger the boost levels don't get as high and you're changing gear soon as you're up high in the revs. You'd see gains but just not worth the effort I don't think!
  13. Hello and welcome, lovely sounding car you've got! I use photobucket to upload photos to and post in forums, there's Flickr though too which is decent
  14. Glad to see some buzz about them on here! I really do want to keep the G60's alive and I think tides will turn with 1.8T's, too much mess, don't suit the old bays and just as expensive to tune well! It's great to see Rottele pushing the G-Lader forwards with affordable parts like the billet displacers and it's great to be apart of keeping them going strong :)
  15. As Owen says, go for the Golf one :)
  16. Rottele have seen a 0.3bar pressure increase over their G65 charger! So I'd expect even bigger gains over a fully ported G60 charger! With these it's not just the pressure increases though, it's physically the huge amount of extra air that can go through them. For example even if boost levels remain the same, you're still putting in a lot more air to the engine so you'll see huge power gains here! This is their flow comparison chart - G40: 566ccm3 per revolution G60: 860ccm3 per revolution G75: 1060ccm3 per revolution (23% more than the G60) That's before you take in the extra pressure you can build up with them. Obviously the main gain is that you're not pushing a smaller charger to it's limits too :) They are mega money yes lol but when compared to a BBM lysholm, or new G60 from VW, then take in to account the hours of research and the cost involved in making them I don't think it's a bad price at all!
  17. Yeah, or timing out. Ah, not too far but not close haha when could I come look? An afternoon one day or weekend better? I'm pretty booked up for weekends till after new year now though! Drop us a PM if you want or ring 07950008980
  18. Any things possible Mark! Would be cool to see! Don't see why one with a large pulley for low boost wouldn't work. Sean, yep, it is a lot, but when VW dropped the G60 they were retailing at £2,500, a BBM lysholm is almost £3,000, so for the amount of research and development and the hours these units are in the CNC machine for I think it's a good price, especially as they won't sell very many of them! Remember all parts are machined from a solid ally block, it's not cast like the original parts!
  19. Should only get petrol in oil if rings are leaking, guess they could if you've been trying for ages. Have you tried checking compression again after you found petrol in oil? Have you fuel out the injectors? I live Lincolnshire side of Doncaster (Hatfield) where exactly are you?
  20. Aren't the heads the same and it's just the cams that differ? Anyway, I'd just whip the stud out, will be easy to swap over. If you were to swap the head, it might not need skimming but would ideally need checking as it might just leak!
  21. It really is! It's great to see what they're doing and I'm chuffed to be able to offer it out now, just want to build my Golf now haha
  22. This is something I'm really excited by, as I was building my Golf I found out about Rotelle (probably from threads on here) and admired the stuff they were doing for years, so I'm really pleased to have set up with them as their Uk partner for bringing their parts and services over here. They really do have some great stuff, even if it's just access to NOS parts like CO Pot sensors and idle screws etc Of course it goes without saying they've done the G60 world a huge favour by reproducing the G60 displacer but in a billet aluminum version so all the weak spots and downsides have been eliminated and the G60 can be pushed even further, but here's the displacer on our site http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/cnc-billet-displacer-g60-g-lader.html We're also now the Uk base for booking and arranging charger work to create G45 & G65 chargers http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/g45-supercharger-conversion.html http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/g65-supercharger-conversion.html Finally is the holy grail of the G-Lader world! The G75! A completely brand new unit built solely by Rottele from scratch, all fully CNC machined aluminium parts, everything is new, both casings, displacer, main shaft, intermediate shaft, all that is re-used from G60's is the bearings, oil seals and apex strips, but this charger is finally out to buy and use and Rottele have had some great results from their testing, please do take a look here http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/g75-superchager.html Thanks
  23. Sounds like an immo fault but without knowing what/how your immo works it's hard to say, guess you could check see if pump and starter are getting any voltage then go from there?

    Any Good ???

I'd say just get a good panel filter in your airbox and spend some time making a really good cold air feed, this will see you more gains. BMC's I don't rate at all, they strangle most engines! You probably wouldn't notice on a standard VR6 but you won't better the standard airbox with one at all! I personally think they look cack too! As above, Green Cotton/K&N panel filter and you're on to something then :)
  25. Ah lovely, thought they stuffed em then on all 16v's! I am a Golf man lol No the cranks are the same, you'll just need a whole new flywheel and clutch kit
