  1. JIm is the name your looking for http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... t=campaign
  2. Certainly seems to have lifted the car visually compared to my old 17's. Popped to Reading today to do some shopping with my other half and had lots of people checking out the car, never used to get such attention!
  3. 8 x 17's, et35, fitted with 205 40 17 toyo's. No rubbing yet, even on full lock. A
  4. similar lowing to yours, maybe a touch lower. I'm running 205's which seems to help no end. They are a little stretched, but not to much. I think 215's would need the arches rolling.
  5. copycat!!! only kidding, they seem to be the wheel of choice this weekend, as I fitted my set on friday. What size tyres are you running??
  6. cheers chaps, 17's but look bigger! Job for the winter there Jay, along with getting the dodgy side sprayed, also colour coding the rear plate surround, maybe dropping the vw sign on the rear, smoothing over the hole for the rear windscreen wiper, rear tow hook deletion, and maybe a few other little tricks. Is you mate still spraying Jay?? May get chance to get my stereo gear in there before my wedding, but thats only 6 weeks away now! Cheers Andy
  7. Sure am Kev, they would have cost me as much as the new ones in the long run! Glad they have approval from all. I'm very pleased with them, and glad they fitted well. Had visions of spacers and longer bolts. Cheers Andy
  8. no spacers required, due to the coilovers I think. I may get some spacers for the rear, as I think the track is a bit narrow on the back of all VR's (compared to the front). But I think that will entail arch rolling to ensure no rubbing. Cheers Andy
  9. Hi All, Have just finished fitting my Oettinger RE's. I like them quite a lot! Cheers Andy
  10. all fitted with loads of room, can get my hand inbetween the tyre and suspension, so thats more than enough clearance for me. Anubis, I have coilovers on my VR, do you have standard shocks?
  11. tyres only really move at the bottom, so think i'm goingto be ok.....off to the tyre fitting place now to have a tyre fitted.
  12. Anubis, i'm fitting Oettingers today too.... See my thread about needing spacers. Pic of a blackberry C with oett's on.....ummmmm looking good!
  13. here's the 205 on a 7" rim, doesnt protude much at all. Think I wil get 1 tyre swopped over tomorrow and try it front and back to see how close it is with the tyre on.
  14. tyres will be fairly stretched, so don't expect the tyres to go past the rims, in fact think the rims will stick out a little.
  15. Hi All, At last my new wheels arrived today. I popped them on tonight to check out clearances, they are an 8" wheel with at ET35 offset. I have measured across the outer rim and its nearly 9 inches, pretty large rim width for an 8" wheel. Now those that have fitted similar wheels, could you advise me whether you think I need spacers with the clearances I have (see pics). The rear is the closest at around 10mm. I'm not planning on lowering it any further. Tyres are Toyo's in 205/40's. Any opinians would be gratefully recieved.
  16. I think just the inner ones would look good. Seen that on an American C and it looked good.
  17. I have replaced all the lights except for one fog that was fairly new, you can still spot which is the odd one out though! That rad is a monster in the jet mate, way bigger than the VR, I guess its because it has lhd factory aircon.
  18. Got a call tonight to say my new wheels have finally made it to the UK.....yippee, ordered them on Jume the 4th would you believe! Pics coming soon hopefully.
  19. RAC for me, I just go for the basic recovery as I can fix most small things.......just need the recovery if something big goes. Like clutches and engines. Have called them out around once a year and they have always been fast to turn up. Whenever I have called its been a big thing and needed to be transported home, so I have told them I need a transporter and they arrive with a transporter. When I was with the AA I had a head gasket go, told them but they sent a little yellow van, towed me of the motorway in that and then had to wait two hours for a big yellow van to take me the rest of the way home. Also good service over the phone with the RAC, they give you a call when they are 5 mins away so you can pop off for a cuppa down the local cafe!
  20. i like it, may have to go for one I think. now four exhausts is chav!
  21. Arh well another job for the winter! Along with many others. Cheers Andy
  22. Milltek do one, speak to 16vg60 See the first page of this thread for details and pics http://the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic. ... ht=milltek
  23. both tracks, nothing else. All I can think is that the extra friction just tilted it over the edge, must have been waiting to go!
  24. Just been fitting my new (old) windscreen lower trims (thanks Dan Steele) and thought I would do a little maintance on the sunroof while I was tinkering. The sunroof had been working fine, but I thought I would grease it up as it looked a bit dry in there, I use some white spray grease......not so sure that was the right thing to use.....as I closed it to work the grease in, clunk, scatching noise...noooooooo. Yep you guessed it, the passenger side stuck and I know have missing paint work on that side of the sunroof. I knew it had to happen one day. So as a warning if my theory is true, dont use white grease???
