I just ordered some H4 Philips Power 2 Night GT-150 to upgrade my fronts now the new loom is in, then was looking on interweb and saw the following - http://www.lighting.philips.com/in_en/c ... ng&lang=en Philips like the Corrado  + their website is very helpful

I had concerns with getting the car back on the boat to come back from JKM, so called the folks at Condor. They said 3 to 4 inch clearance should be OK to get on & off the boat. So today I measured my clearance - front end both the splitter & CAT are 6 & a half inches clear of the ground (approx 17cm) Good news, because this means that my plan to drop the car roughly 4cm still leaves 13cm (5 inches) of clearance...

Just got my dark tint inpro rear lights down The fit is not as good as the OEM parts, but the colour looks great with the rest of the car

Question - Thinking of removing my front splitter all together to reduce the inevitable sleeping policemen knocks, does it serve any hidden purpose? Did think about getting a smaller one, but £60 for a 50mm seems a bit steep, can you get smaller ones and or cheaper?

I had previously noticed that my front grill was a bit broken & partially held in with a cable tie. This weekend, at a mystery location, it fell out. Now I have to get a new one. Is it better to get chrome or plastic, is there a manufacturer that is better than the others etc?

hi stormcharged vr6, thanks for help / advice with the project, always welcome and appreciated... Especially from someone who puts in so much time and effort on their own car 8)
-
Been sad this afternoon and cleaned the outside of the car & the alloys, then thought how much attention I pay to the inside? It needs a good clean in here too, maybe next weekend, but this is how it looks at the moment...

I don't have water in the boot, but do have a rear end that fogs up double time. I noticed that the boot seal is a bit worse for wear - can you buy these parts i.e. new rubbers somewhere?

Just measured my G60, which is original suspension on BBs 16' Peak of Arch to floor - Front = 62cm & Rear = 61cm Going to JKM in Feb to get Koni coilovers fitted, intend to reduce the heights to approx Peak of Arch to floor - Front = 54cm front & Rear 56cm New & Improved side on shot, with freshly cleaned car + alloys
-
Now booked in to JKM for Feb, having a service + g-lader & charger checked + koni coilovers fitted - had to pull away from the KW v3 cos I can't afford the extra cash. The koni are supposed to be good too though and the colour goes much better with my car... :cuckoo:

My lupo kit of 2x new arms and 2x new blades set me back £84.00 Well worth it though, the difference is clear...
-
Thanks VR6 & corradog60stage4 Great pics of the kit in water by the way - thanks again Having stated that you have 3 kits in your car (900 dollars?!) would people say that the difference between the two options (this includes the far superior construction and waterproofing provided by the HID kit & light brightness) is worth the difference in price? :confused4:

Hi awigman, If you have pics then please share them, I think it could look really good - did you have any issues with fitting or anything?
-
Aw, wow - looking bloody fantastic. I like the new paint job too, black is a great colour for cars - just looks so right. Did you spray it yourself?
-
A friend who build his own rally car is looking at ordering a whole load of alloys from Dare, so I might consider these babies (Dare Spider with stainless rim)- what do you think? I have been told that they can do 16inch, 4 stud and am just waiting for confirmation of the price...
-
The good thing about this kit is that it allows you to keep the key entry to the boot, I would have it sprayed so it matched the body and then it would look the dogs - well i recon anyway...

Looking on the interweb again and found http://www.tmtuning.com Was contemplating the Mattig rear bumper and rear license plate cover - has anyone got these or used TMT before? If there is someone in the UK that do similar stuff I would be very interested to know please...
-
Has anyone on here used the "McCulloch HID Kit" available from Dub Design Industries? It looks very professional, so maybe better than home-made style kits from ebay? But costing 300 dollars?!

The Tyre Discussion Thread - please read 1st post

I recently had to replace my front tyres and went for Toyo Proxes 4 VR 195/50-15, they seem pretty good - spin a little in the wet, but thats normal. The two fitted + balancing & tracking cost me £139.77 -
Hi Neil, Thanks for your feedback. I have had a look at lots of the pics of alloys on the site, but seem to like the opposite to most people - I want the alloys to be slim-line and lightweight looking and show the disks and pads etc, I also like the idea of making the whole car black and grey like the interior - hence the black alloys. I am tempted to tint the lights too? I take it you have the KW v3 on your ride, do you have pics up so I can check them out?

Been looking on the terrible internet and created a wish list of sorts - feedback more than welcome... £71.34 Splitfire Twin Core Ignition Leads? or does this not make any difference? £994.00 KW Variant 3 Coilovers - just found that Carnoisseur have them at £939.18! £133.94 Sparco Strut Brace - again how much difference will it make? £323.63 H&R Anti Roll Bar Kit All Prices from http://www.europerformance.co.uk £409.00 OZ Racing Ultraleggera 15" in Matt Graphite - can't find the Chrono HT I like better £95.00 Powertec SL1 Induction Kit £220.00 Black Diamond Performance Clutch Kit - or should one use Sachs as they seem the popular choice? All prices from http://www.rimstyle.com Just dreaming really, but maybe eventually some of it will get added...

Cheers Adz, the Lupo wipers are so easy to do and not that expensive + they make a huge difference - best n easiest thing I've done to the car yet. I would recommend to anyone with a Rado :salute:
-
Andy your car looks good by the way, nice n clean n tidy...
-
Thanks Andy, That sounds kinda complex to me, i was really hoping the fix up my existing lights with new bulbs and call it quits - adding ballast box and new relays sounds like a lot of effort and/or cash to me? I am still trying to find a decent third party light fitting as a replacement option, but can only find stuff like Helix angel eyes - does anyone have a decent source of other 3rd party lights?
-
hi neilG60, i re-used the old hose clamps as they were intact & in good condition, thanks for the advice though - maybe now i will check the other bits under the hood and see if anything else needs replacing...
