This car is one of the finest and most beautifully executed Corrados in the country, I'm saddened that it has moved on but I trust you will be happy with your Storm and I hope the new owner keeps us updated on his ownership experience. The only really god news about you selling the car on is that Michael's car has now been reunited with RS 301s to complete the circle.

I hope this superb Corrado finds a god home.

Having owned and cherished this car for so long myself I genuinely could not be happier that Michael now owns this car, I think we share a similar philosophy and his sensitive restoration and attention to detail is first class and truly in keeping with the car. I think in the Factory finish BBS RS 301s and the Nothelles he has secured the two finest sets of period correct wheels that could ever grave a Corrado, end of discussion. With the soon to be added VSR and a couple of detail changes the car will be phenomenal. Personally I'd like to see a return to the stock amber side repeater and try out black lock less door handles as an option to make it look even more period stock which should further enhance the quality period accessories. I think the only mild voice if dissent would be that the chrome centre caps on the RS are too modern and detract from both the wheels and the look of the car, the good news of course is that he has the Red/Gold and Black/Gold which both compliment the car beautifully. Well done and thankyou!!!!

Are you in your dad's car?
-
Chains were done not too many miles ago so that shouldn't be an issue. The noise you describe on the first start up sounds like when the damper shattered on start up previously and the issues sound similar. Is the replacement damper you tried new and in perfect working order.

These are my lads that he's looking to sell if they are of interest

Superb choices and execution, love it!

Who was the judge? Your car is magnificent its only blinkers or prejudice that would stop it cleaning up even in that company, not withstanding it is a concours event which rewards originality
-
Perhaps just re drill for 5x100 and retain 5/112 capability, not be seen under cap?
-
Perfect! So glad you found a set once plugged and re drilled they'll be the perfect fitment of the perfect period one piece wheel. I'd let both other sets go when you got these sorted and just stick with these ans a set of killer splits BBS E26 game over!

For what it's worth too much of a bright or polished look on this car seems to flatten the look of the paint in comparison a slightly darker more conservative finish helps the paint pop

He's done RS for me Michael, I'll text you his mobile number if you haven't got it. He's a passionate man where BBS are concerned
-
Hi Chris I think RS have a rounded bolt seat whereas these bolts have a tapered seat for the later styles of BBS wheels so may not be suitable, I'll email you a pic Gareth

Happy New Year Dave, hope you are well? nothing like dropping a bomb to start the year! At least you go out on top.

Simply put, no. Too modern

I think it needs 18s on the S3, Golf MKIV Anniversary wheels would be ideal

Great change of direction, wheels are a much better fit and look great as for the engine VRT, enough said
