Sad loss to the VW Coupe community a very knowledgable and enthusiastic gentleman who was happy to share his knowledge and love of VWs. Would be nice to see the CCGB name a trophy at the Annual meeting for most original car or concours car in his name. -
I would use genuine they are the perfect fit for the rear mounting profile of the wheels and great quality
-
They are usually Et 60 without adaptors so I would go 25mm adaptors all round for Et 35 trouble free fitment

I drop in on the forum daily for my fix but as a former owner I am no longer an active contributor. It's great to see the cars and love for model but must confess I am enjoying the freedom from 'enthusiastic ownership' that my replacement vehicle has brought. The brief was cheap, economical, large, comfortable and estate. Having considered the obvious German offerings I felt the 'need for Swede' and went for a Volvo. I have no intention of getting over involved and won't be joining up on a forum or striving for perfection. Any way it's a Phantom Black Volvo V70 D5 Sport. The car is a 2004 with manual gearbox, it has black heated leather, dual climate, cruise, the engine is a 2.4 diesel turbo 5 pot and there's bags of space. It's got a towbar, roof rails for bicycle racks and is pretty nippy too. A style statement it is not but I must say it is really easy to live with everyday and just what I needed.

Congratulations on the birth of your little one, he looks a big lad like his dad, those tyres should help you get the wheels sitting really nicely with the camber dialled in. Ps do you still want to sort out collecting the VW badge

I'm sure when Paul bought the car he was told it had a tracker but he never activated it or went in search of it -
Glad you're keeping the CH:x-mas::x-mas:

As this really is such a great on line community I felt compelled to start a Karma thread following an act of great generosity by Nick (BannaOr) Following his recent purchase of an Awesome set of BBS CH wheels he needed to replace the tyres they came with, with a more Corrado friendly size. I expressed an interest in the 'balloons' (relatively speaking for a 225/45) that came with the BBS to fit to my recently acquired Volvo. Not only did Nick retain the tyres for me but in an act of great kindness he would not accept any payment and sent them to me at his own expense. Thankyou Nick a great endorsement of you and this forum and I will seek to pass on the Karma. You have made me feel very good about the world. Thankyou Gareth

Congratulations, hope you have a great day, -
Good on you, I think you are right. I'm now much less materialistic, I don't have much money spare after meeting all my commitments but what I have is now pretty much all paid for though notwithstanding a modest mortgage remaining despite putting most of my money into a comfortable family home. Have no loans. I do recognise that i dont enjoy stress or worrying about money so try no to covet things I dont need. I sadly parted with my Corrado due to not really having the time or money to spend on it. I have long since decided not to pursue career advancement in return for more stable working arrangements and i have now moved off shifts to regular days. A modest Volvo estate now serves my everyday purposes and I get to spend more time with my family and I am pretty content

We tested fitted them on Andy's car which isn't especially low but then put it down the ramped drive entrance to my house which pushed the wheel up into the arches but there was no catching or fitment problems
-
Tyres are certainly right sizes for me, pm sent
-
They look great really are one of finest wheel choices for the Corrado, you'll be fine on the 205s. Let me know if you are interested in selling me the 225/45R17s
-
If you run 205/40 all round you won't need to touch your arches. I had them on my car and they fit and look fine.

Thanks keep me posted please Gareth

Tyres are far too big for a Corrado, I would consider taking the tyres off you for the right price
