    Have you checked the metal pipe that goes from the heater(?) down to the water pump area, they have a habit of corroding. If you are loosing coolant there are normally some tell tale signs of it? Ian.

    On Vagcat there are 2 VR6 dipsticks listed, depending on Chassis Nr - The latter one (021115607) is the same as a similar age (Circa 1995) 2.8 VR6 Golf. Hope that helps. Ian.

    Not sure if still available from the dealers, but according to Vagcat for a 1.8 Valver: Front - 357615311A plus M6 x 10 Hex Bolt N 90529301 Rear - 191615611D (L/H), 191615612B (R/H) plus M10 x 24 Hex Bolt N 90369801 and Spring Washer 321501119A. Ian.

    Welcome to the Forum Daz - Be worth getting the fuel filter checked (about £10/12 in the UK) plus depending on mileage the injectors may be past their best or perhaps even weeping? Post some pics up when you can. Ian.
