VR6 | Brilliant Black Metallic (LA9V) | Gloucester Price: £2495 Description: ---------------- For sale is a Corrado VR6 in Brilliant Black Metallic, first registered in August 1994. It is in generally very good condition for its age with just over 110,000 miles from new, it is taxed until the end of October 2012 with an MOT until November 2012. Now for some more details: Exterior ----------- The paintwork is in very good condition, with a few scratches and stone chips as would be expected from a near 18 year old car - The only visible rust is a patch around the tailgate and the very start of some on the front o/s wheel arch. The side bump strips have been removed by a previous owner. The car is fitted with standard speedlines that have matching nearly new budgets on the front and michelins on the back that are down to approx 2.5 > 3mm of tread. At the rear it has smoked In Pro rear lights that really suit the colour of the car. The Headlamps/Indicators/Front fog lights are all in good shape with no visible cracks, new Bosch Wiper Blades all round plus has recently had a glass moonroof fitted after the mechanism broke on the original - It is from a Mk3 Golf and is a slightly different profile but really brightens up the interior with the sun blind pulled back (Have retained the original metal roof panel and it can be easly changed over if the new buyer prefers). Has recently had the bonnet release cable replaced plus the passenger exterior door handle also. Interior ---------- Black cloth interior in good overall condition with some wear to the drivers seat bolster, otherwise all as standard. All electrics (windows, mirrors, roof and spoiler) work fine plus has an ultra rare(?) 4 cassette holder in the dash cubbyhole for the period 90's look!! The car was fitted with a Clifford Concept 300 alarm system in 1999 at great expense which works as intended, still have the booklet etc and just yesterday I purchased a new fob for it as the original was playing up - This has been programmed to the car but have kept the original as a spare, it could really do with recasing plus a battery change. No ICE fitted, prefer to listen to the sound of the engine. The warning triangle is present in the rear seat plus there is a new first aid kit (not the original) in the seat "hump". Engine ---------- The engine has had the timing chain and tensioners replaced in the last few thousand miles plus other mods that seem to have made a great difference to its performance, these are a ported/gas flowed cylinder head (from a very reputable tuner), Supersprint 6 branch St/Steel exhaust manifold and cat back exhaust plus a BMC CDA air filter. The engine certainly goes a lot better than my standard VR6. It has recently been serviced with an engine flush, oil (VW Synta) + filter change and new spark plugs. Also replaced were the battery, PCV pipework, lambda sensor, oil cooler seals and thermostat plus new G12 - No visible leaks of either oil or coolant Running Gear ------------------- The car is fitted with Bilstein Coilovers (believed to be PS9S) and has been lowered considerably, it handles really well whilst still retaining a firm but acceptable ride quality. The brakes are standard apart from Black Diamond front discs. Bad Points ----------------- Well it's bound to have some, but perhaps not too many? - The 90mm front spoiler is cracked on both corners and there is a small visible indentation on the roof by the leading edge of the sunroof, plus the scratches/stone chips already mentioned. On the rear spoiler there is the base(?) showing thru' in a small area. I think this would make a good 1st purchase for somebody as with a small outlay it could be made near perfect bodywise. Happy to arrange test drives in the evenings or weekends (bring driving license though), if you want any more info then PM me or E Mail [email protected] - Pictures below (Hi Res ones also available but kept the size of these down for easier uploading):
