This rant pretty much summarised how I felt when I was told how little I was getting. Looking forward to seeing what I'm offered next. Oh and after 3 weeks they've finally found the girls insurance company!! :brickwall: Highly reccomend everyone to swerve bell direct. Will definately be paying the extra cash next time to go with Brentacre -

Right, crack is it was a Cat C write off previously. I wouldn't have thought that'd effect the value so much when I bought it, 200-300 quid at the most. Instead that's what I'd get for it!! Lesson learned!! My G-werks receipt from a few days prior to the accident won't even make them budge at all on the price. Been told I need to find another Corrado that's been a total loss before, for sale if I want the price to go up. Originally it was meant to be within 60 miles, but I said I doubt there's even another G60 within 60 miles and I've been given some extension to that. Don't suppose anyone's seen any Corrado's for sale that've been written off before? I have a feeling this is a loosing battle. Buying the car back regardless and will probably break it or re-shell it. EDIT, Just sent off this ebay link. Hoping they'll see sense and give me a bit more!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-VOLKSWAGEN-C ... 795wt_1167 -

Oh my god. After 2 weeks of being arsed about my insurance company phoned me up with a price for replacing it. £365. Due to the door having to be replaced. To say I'm livid is an understatement. I spent more than that on the Charger just a week before! -

Really wish I didn't work almost every weekend. :censored: -
Pause it and then go to camera mode. After you take the photo you can save it, then after that you can upload it if you have a gold membership. When they're uploaded you can access them from the forza website.

I'll be into some form of FM3 online. Just created a new gamertag for a month's gold trial. GT is KeeveG60. Manual and ABS all the way. Rakes better than Auto once you're used to it!

Hi mate, Can you take me off the list please. No use for it since someone smashed into my rado.

Nah it wasn't that she was too close, She was a good bit behind us! So there was NOTHING to stop her stopping, she must have been on a phone or something. Yeah I'm def not taking under 1500 for it. Just heard that the lassie is trying to blame me somehow? I stopped my car, she didn't. :censored: Unfortunately I don't think anyone else witnessed her almost hitting the kerb apart from us in the car. -

Ah yeah, it was the 206. Forgot to mention that. Yeah everyones okay thats the main thing! Oh and I know how annoying it is seeing another Rado written off but.... -
Bought a G60 a couple weeks ago. Drove it up from Glasgow. Ran about 20 miles in it once I had her back up the road. Got the charger sent off after that for a service. Got it back and running on Thursday. Tried driving it to Aberdeen, thought it would be a good chance to break in the charger too. Would have been over 250 miles by the time I got back. 12 miles out the road, seen a 206 almost smash into a kerb at a roundabout. Thought "Really do not want to be behind this car". Overtook it, which took forever not going over 4k rpm. 2 miles later, 2 cars in front of me start slowing down to pull off the road, all 3 of us are pretty much stopped. Rear view mirror. A set of lights absolutely FLYING towards me. Just screamed "NOOOO!!" then BANG! Car absolutely flung forward. Car in front just managed to get clear. Got out the car and the back was absolutely panned in. Absolutely wanted to cry. Was NO reason in the slightest she could not see us. Wasn't like it was just round a corner or anything, it was on a straight. Everyone that seen it and ourselfs think the driver did not even touch the brakes. Must have been txting or something. Seriously SO hacked off. Whats the chances she's gonna get fined? Quite high? Also what's the score retrieving parts from it? It had a full custom interior and the charger only had about 30 miles on it since the rebuild! Me and my mate are fine, both suffering pretty bad whiplash though! When I rebounded back into the seat it flew back on the rails then reclined all the way back. Not good. :brickwall:
-
yeah I just took it apart and seen the notch. Put em all back in and we're in business! All sorted, knockings gone too! Need to change the ECU vaccum hose though, its seen better days! Cheers to everyone for thier help!!
-
Thats what I put them at, but i've just realised that the dizzy isn't in the same position as the photo I used to place em. This is the photo I took the order from. This is how mine is now.
-
I don't know if it was the charger or not yet. When it was opened though there was no damage and G-werks said it was fine. But when putting it back together i realised its missing the 13mm bolt on the right hand side of it, so it could have been something as simple as the plate knocking against the charger knowing my luck! Was gonna get it rebuilt this month anyway.
-
Bottom crank bolt ok? Just checked. Its still there, and theres no play in the pulley. When I was revving it I could hear the supercharger spinning fine too.
-
Just remembered I had the ISV off one night with the intention to clean it out, but realised i would have needed to re-lube it and had nothing to lube it with so I just left it and put it back on. Theres a boost return delete kit fitted to it too, But that was fitted just before the charger came off and was running fine.
-
Right, got the charger rebuilt. Got it all back on the car today, primed the charger then tried starting it, ticked over with a very loud backfire then it just started idling very very rough, throttle was doing barely anything and it was backfiring like mad!! Only thing i can think of that i've changed is I might have mixed up one or two ignition leads on the dizzy, I've just pulled up a photo of a g60 and put them all onto the same ones, tried starting it and it won't even tick over. Please help, i've got to drive to Aberdeen tonight!
-
Sounds like it has something to do with the remote turn on. Try re-routing it. I've got mine going under the clocks then out the other side of the fuse box.
-
I don't believe this is actually real!! Only in the US.
-
Spoke to Toad. They have given me no information on the immobilizer and said I'd have to pay £150 just to call out an engineer who is probably just going to do a reset procedure on the alarm. Then asked about my closest Toad dealer and got flogged off by being told to check the yellow pages!! Which I've already checked and there's not even an alarm fitter close to me so I'm fucked unless I drive 100+ Miles to Aberdeen, Perth, Glasgow etc.. If I need to get a replacement Alarm they're definitely not getting my business!
-
Got half the dash out looking for the Alarm/Fuses. Turned out they were right infront of my nose beside the fusebox... Half the dash was taken out before I made this discovery. No more working on the car after a nightshift! Found out the alarm is a C5T2. Google has nothing of relevance to this immobilizer... Not a good sign. Will give Toad a phone later on.
-
Hi, I'll take a 3 relay one please mate! Forgot to post in this thread when I lost the ebay auction I was bidding on for one.
-
Forgot to mention, car starts and drives fine as it is.
-
Ace, cheers for the info. Car had been sitting for a while with the battery off before I bought it so it could just be the fobs needing re-programmed. Will find the unit, check fuses and check the model of it. Cheers! And with the locks not working I meant the driver side barrel was knackered so have to push down the lock getting out of the car and then use my key on the passenger door to lock that one, the central locking wasn't working from the pass door.
