  1. Ill step aside, all yours Gaz
  2. UK Corrado VR6s were OBD1, both dizzy and coilpack. The miss is a good bargaining tool though! It'll need tyres, brakes etc. It sounds like you've made your mind up :)
  3. A car that's been sat outside for 3 years will need a fair bit of recommissioning, satin silver will be a bitch to match once the welding is finnished
  4. I thought it was pretty good for 25 years old? I saved it for my own use, its off a non ABS car if it makes any difference. Make me an offer or see if you can find a better one? (this ones not advertised anywhere and you have first option to buy it anyway).
  5. Id say the bushes are ok to use, how long they'll last is anyones guess
  6. So would you do it £200 without the coilpack and manifold (I have 2 spare coilpacks already and a schrick manifold) making courier costs cheaper.
  7. Can I use my existing coilpack then? What map is in the ecu, standard?
  8. Some grind a little off the caliper body, others grind material off the outer brake pads so the calliper goes inwards towards the inner wing
  9. Ive not really looked at them fir a while tbh, if it was me id renew them anyway while its off
  10. I have a g60 beam, i can get pics on monday unless youre going to the nec tomorrow?

    Wheel fittment...

It was these people that advised me to measure the protrusion of the hub boss and warned me of possible failure http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-4x100-Hubcentric-Spacers-25mm-Wide-57-1CB-10-Wheel-Bolts-VW-AUDI-UK-Made-/121914010809?hash=item1c62a42cb9:g:4AAAAOSwnLdWsOEe

    Wheel fittment...

Measure the bosses on the rear disks the centre bores sit on, on VR6s it's approx 18mm before they taper, a 20mm spacer reducing to a smaller spigot leaves hardly any meat on the boss and the boss tends to shear off in use, some will go tight before the spacer butts up against the disk and shear when you put the bolts in. I tried to get 20mm spacers made to reduce 57.1 to Subaru 56.1 and was warned off by the machine shop as the boss would have been too weak
  14. That link doesn't work for me, is it a closed group? I have seen the loom on FB VW Golf/Corrado/Caddy - Cars and Parts Forsale + Wanted. But I can find any of the head.
  15. I'll also express an interest in the OBD2 stuff, but Jim was first. Has the loom been used by you or just readied to fit? The ODB2 head, what's involved in fitting this to an ABV block? In the past I've seen another here with chemical metal used to block something off?
  16. The reservoir will have a flow and return to the ABS pump and a supply to the clutch hydraulics. You should have a tandem master cylinder with 2 brake pipes to the ABS pump. When I upgraded to a 22mm master on my MK2 I could only find a 4 outlet one, so I used bleed nipples to block off the 2 outlets that weren't needed
  17. You can replace the big ends by removing the sump, you can check the mains in the same way but replacement requires dropping the crank so engine or gearbox removal. Little ends require sump and head off to check / replace. An oil pressure check would be the place to start or maybe a change of viscosity to see if it worsens or improves? Is there a restrictor to the turbo oil feed? Something else you could play with, larger or smaller, but I wouldn't do this without fitting an accurate oil gauge first.

To my eyes that looks even worse than the bare motor?
