You can be emissions tested at the side of the road or be breath tested or have the tread depth checked on your tyres etc etc You'd be unlucky with the above, but poking wheels and stretched tyres are an easy spot for anyone to see

Your car has to comply with the MOT regs for 365 days of the year, not just on the day its presented.

Well if you read the first post excessive stretch has now been legislated against and its an MOT fail, if the tester cant prove its excessive then its "Pass and Advise", so it will be recorded on the MOT cert as such for your insurance co to read in the event of a claim

I recently measured the boss on the rear disks at around 17mm from the hub face, if the centre bore of the spacer wasn't parallel there's a chance the spigot boss on the spacer would bind to the point where it may shear off whilst tightening the wheel bolts

Yes 2.9s have a larger throttle plate and will fit OBD1 2.8s only

Vr6s have a paper element, the non return valve is in the block

Hoffmeisters blackberry had monty 2s fitted for a while, they suit the car IMO and are cheap too
