Why not buy new outer rims to suit?
-
What do you think my chances are on Dragons Den? :)
-
Snow is coming, made myself some studded tyres :)
-
I think someones winding you up mate. Reversing wheels was popular 50 years ago using factory steels for the hot rod look
-
At the moment yes, willing to ship UK only

The usual issue with VWs rear locks is the levers seizing in the barrel through lack of use, there's a clear plastic / rubber ring on the outside of the barrel supposedly to keep the weather out. These are usually yellowed, hardened and split, allowing water and road salt to pass by and corrode the levers and barrel. Remove it, strip it, lube it would be my advice. You'll then see if it is the correct barrel for the key or not. If you have a spare key you could try that too as after 20 years the keys and barrels will now have some wear and the levers may not be clearing the barrel housing

You don't have to have a rewind tool, push / turn / push / turn works all be it's a bit of a fiddle. I use an angle grinder key to turn and a G clamp to push the piston in. Rotate 180 degrees then push, rotate again etc. It takes a couple of mins per side with practice

A rough car but good runner with a decent amount of MOT would be worth £1K, a nice presentable car £3K an exceptional car £5K+ to the right buyer. I suggest you post pics of the good and the bad bits and be more specific about service history, MOT date, and location for a decent valuation
-
To add to that, you need a fully charged battery before you start the compression test, all spark plugs out, disconnect the crank sensor and there will be no fuel injected or any spark to ignite it
-
If you suspect a fueling issue give it a squirt of easi start whilst cranking http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_221705_langId_-1_categoryId_255221

I've had a description via PM Sean and they're not for me sadly, so you're welcome to do a deal with Monkey if you can

And up, can part ex good condition wings in blue plus cash for the right panels (I have a grey OS wing too)
-
£15 plus post if the cut leaves the arch intact, do you want the flap too?
-
Rust gets them at the very bottom edge where it tucks under the car and the arch lip where it meets and rubs on the liner.
-
I can do it, but obviously its well into the arch making it scrap and from your point of view the repair would be easier to disguise if the section was welded on the flat side rather than the arch. The petrol tank is still on the car so no cuts until next weekend at the earliest
-
Pics of the wings would be good please, what's your location?
-
Fair play, unrecognisable from where you started. I take it your a pro painter?
-
1 = No Most likely the column switch, but check bulbs / fuses also

1990 Corrado hydro pedal box, servo and master cyls I won't guarantee the master cyls due to age (may well be ok but don't want to be responsible for your totalled car!), but are ideal for set up £100
