I still have your RCs sat on a shelf unused since I bought them

If there's no play in the hinge pins there's no point replacing them. In the past I've put a trolley jack (with a rubber sanding block on top to prevent damage to the paint) under the door concerned and used my weight on the sill to bend the door skin back to its previous position. Easy as you go, you don't have to do it all in one go! A nice vid of a Trabant having its PDI! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBsPFI--muo EDIT To be clear the rubber pad goes under the door on the inner skin, not on the seam! It may be worth getting someone to stand on the outside of the door to prevent it slipping off the jack. Once the jack begins to lift the car, stop and use your weight on the sill to gently tweak the door skin by the hinge.

Take it out somewhere quiet and make the abs work to exercise the inlet / outlet valves with some heavy braking whilst the light remains off, then change the fluid. What happens to anything mechanical that doesn't get used? it corrodes / gets sticky and wont move when you need it too. My sorned vr6 had the light on permanently with the valve faults, I've changed the fluid, wedged the pedal down for a while and its now intermittent, once its legal to do so I'll make sure the abs pump is exercised on a regular basis. I have a spare pump if its needed First bleed is on the right..... On the left is the flush after

Isn't there an Aston Martin with Corrado headlights? Air cooled Beetle has front wheel bearings the same as Corrado rears EDIT (Scirocco rears too) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ASTON-MARTIN-VIRAGE-1991-38-000-MILES-FROM-NEW-STUNNING-AWESOME-PERFORMANCE-/171163297207?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27da20a5b7

They're yours, no need for any apology GLWS :)

My VR rattles / taps a bit on start up (8V MK2 Golf also was tappety from cold), lets face it they're 20 years old and a 30 year old design and shouldn't be compared to the majority of modern cars. I was at a classic car auction on Wednesday with a mate looking at a BMW 850 V12, it rattled and tapped a bit on start up as oil got around the engine, sounded acceptable to me, my mate declared it a money pit............. It was quieter than my VR

Yes, I went on the VR6OC after I made the offer and saw them marked as provisionally sold
-
Donated, good luck ;)
-
If I hold my curser on this tiny square below CF donator it says "Dox is an unknown quantity at this point" As an example this is the same for CazzaVR a forum mod and very much a known quantity! As another example VR6turbo who joined later, has less posts and is not a donator it says "VR6turbo is on a distinguished road" How odd! No offence mean to VR6turbo :)

The lower grill is £10, I'll remove the spoiler. I have a rear bumper, tailgate and a petrol flap in dragon too

Rad, top elbow and fan switch £50 posted Crafter intercooler £40 posted

The headlamp is in much better condition than I remember before I hid it away in the loft Do you want the lower bumper grill and spoiler too? Grey bonnet, has micro blisters all over it and needs flatting back to bare metal IMO
-
I've got a used crafter IC, used previously on a 1.8T MK2, I bought it for a now abandoned Corrado project, so unused by me If you're missing anything else.... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=83447

The multifunction dip / main beam switch (indicators too) on the steering column behind the steering wheel. The headlight switch selects side lights or main / dipped beam, but the column switch selects between main or dipped beam (and flash). Pull the switch back for main beam, pull the switch back for dipped beam (not like most cars where you push forward for main, pull back for dipped (and back again for flash). I've had phone charger / sat nav cables jam the mechanism before now leading to a bit of a panic

I have to pick up some stuff myself this weekend. I'll PM you my number and put some pics here later

Do you suspect the spray pattern has gone on that injector? Or low on compression?
-
I have a used early switch, but I suspect you have a faulty column switch
-
Can you check the resistance of the suspect injector and compare with others?

Is the spark plug wet with fuel when removed? Are the connectors fitting ok inside the injector wiring plug / socket
