  1. Yes, I went on the VR6OC after I made the offer and saw them marked as provisionally sold
  2. If I hold my curser on this tiny square below CF donator it says "Dox is an unknown quantity at this point" As an example this is the same for CazzaVR a forum mod and very much a known quantity! As another example VR6turbo who joined later, has less posts and is not a donator it says "VR6turbo is on a distinguished road" How odd! No offence mean to VR6turbo :)

  6. I started removing a loom today, I think I have the radio loom uncut, I have a handbrake lever and handle. The car had an alarm immob so the loom was butchered some. I have dash, switches, heater assy, under trays etc if needed?

  10. The headlamp is in much better condition than I remember before I hid it away in the loft Do you want the lower bumper grill and spoiler too? Grey bonnet, has micro blisters all over it and needs flatting back to bare metal IMO

    early headlight switch

    The multifunction dip / main beam switch (indicators too) on the steering column behind the steering wheel. The headlight switch selects side lights or main / dipped beam, but the column switch selects between main or dipped beam (and flash). Pull the switch back for main beam, pull the switch back for dipped beam (not like most cars where you push forward for main, pull back for dipped (and back again for flash). I've had phone charger / sat nav cables jam the mechanism before now leading to a bit of a panic

  14. Do you suspect the spray pattern has gone on that injector? Or low on compression?

    early headlight switch

    I have a used early switch, but I suspect you have a faulty column switch
  16. Can you check the resistance of the suspect injector and compare with others?
  17. Is the spark plug wet with fuel when removed? Are the connectors fitting ok inside the injector wiring plug / socket
  18. To test for a spark on a particular cylinder use a jump lead connected to the spark plug thread plugged into the lead of the cylinder concerned and the other end of the jump lead earthed on the engine block, look for the spark whilst cranking. The jump lead makes it much easier if you're working alone especially with lots of plastic parts now used in engine bays
  19. Take the spark plugs out, remove the cam cover, insert a clean screwdriver into the spark plug hole on number one cylinder (nearest the cambelt), using a ratchet and appropriate socket on the crank pulley bolt turn the engine clockwise until the piston reaches top dead centre. Look at the cam lobes, when viewed from the pulley end are the roughly 10 to and 10 past the hour on a clock face (valves closed)? If yes check the cam timing and dizzy marks align where they should, if no rotate the engine one full turn and check the cam and dizzy timing marks again. The number one piston must be exactly at TDC and both the inlet and exhaust valves for number one cylinder are closed when checking the cam / dizzy align with there appropriate set up markings
