OE VAG wheels will usually be conical seat bolts (alloys or steels), aftermarket wheels are often taper seat bolts. Remove and not replace the rear bearing dust caps? Was there any paint on the wheel to hub faces on the wheel? Its not unknown for paint to crush on mating surfaces and the wheel to then come off

LG make a direct drive washing machine where the motor is fixed directly to the drum (no drive belt needed so far less jumping around when the drum rotates), vibration is much reduced.
