It always amazes me what people think adds value or what an item is worth! One owner and sub 40K means its worth more than a well maintained car with 4 times the owners / mileage? Not in my eyes its not! He's not even tried to start it up or free off the brakes, by the sounds of it he's not even been to see the car (and remove his prized stereo - £20 worth?) since he parked it up. It sounds to me that he's had an ultimatum to "get rid of the P-O-S off the drive or the scrap man gets it" from a friend / relative who's been storing it for him. Worth £200 and no more..............

Whats the suffix on the ABS ecu please? Mines E How many outlet ports on the pump? Mine has 6 connections for brake pipes

I emailed them before xmas as I'm having oulet valve issued with my sorned car, they said they needed part numbers and would have to rebuild my unit as there was no rebuilt units on the shelves anymore for cars of this age.

I'm the opposite, its bodywork condition first for me (unless its a bolt on panel), a non working spoiler / electic window / sunroof / blown matrix or similar is just a haggling point. Interiors can be swapped, as can wheels, both of which can transform a well used car with straight bodywork

The poor handbrake is probably the pads seized in the carriers - cheap fix to strip, clean and copperslip where the pads touch the carriers and calipers if this is the case. Working rear brakes will generally help the car to stop better with the foot brake too. Buying a car off an enthusiasts site like this is probably the best way to go, you can browse the build threads and see exactly what's been done. Corrado prices are rock bottom, there's no need to buy cheap unknown when there is well looked after cars here
