There are very few people who are content in their working lives, how many would continue if they didn't need to? There are so many lotteries now all giving people a tiny glimpse of a way out

A litre per 1000 miles is to be expected on what is an old engine with old, dry and probably cracked valve stem oil seals. A fivers worth of oil per 1K miles or £1000s on a rebuild? If its not fouling the plugs with I'd just keep an eye on oil level and run it, many in the same situation have tried various oils and "snake oils" that claim to supress oil usage and found little difference. Even full rebuilds have ended up with oil usage and a rattily top ends

Most likely its corrosion to the stub that's pressed into the head or the hose has become porous or pinched - you may be able to trim a little off it if that's the case.

Who pays attention to alarms? No one. The only people they inconvenience are the owners.

Swap them over, if you get main and no dip you have a relay problem. Fuse for NSF main beam in the fusebox OK

Both are low pressure switches. One low pressure up to 2200 RPM One low pressure over 2200 RPM If you remove them and clean the hex with scotchbrite you'll see the values of the sensors printed on them.

Looks a nicely put together magazine, good luck with it.

If its had fluids before being stored I'd remove the crank sensor with the plugs out and crank it on the starter with a fresh battery to get the oil moving around before trying to start it. The fuel may be stale, if you're lucky and it starts, run it up to temp and then change the fluids (complete with anything that's been congealing inside. Drain the fuel and replenish with fresh before MOTing it (stale fuel affects emissions).
