  15. Its ok I get embarrased by TDis on the straight all the time mate. I wasnt too sure why I started this thread. It feels a bit like a self help group now. "My name is Matthew and I drive a tiny sports coupe with a 3.0L engine that gets beaten by family hatchbacks on a daily basis" Ahhh that feels so much better to get that out
  16. You cant go messing with your car Tom its too tidy as std!
  17. At least we all know the meaning of humility
  18. Hi mate all VAG parts. That did include clutch and slave cylinder. Figured as my clutch has lasted 85,000 miles 14 years and still going. I would replace it and the chains and give me another 14 years peace of mind  Worth noting my chains showed no sign of wear and the guides and tensioners had very little damage either! Oh well :bonk: I paid £355 for clutch parts (inc slave cylinder), crankshaft oil seal and some chain parts from VAG inc 20% discount. I then paid £50 off ebay for both chains and two tensioners. Then there was gearbox oil and engine oil £50. Rocker cover £12 and anti freeze £8. Then you have circa £400-500 labour.... 21. sorry but don't understand what you mean by rpm point????? Changing the point on the rev range where the flap opens
  22. So what did you think I'd look like then? Even uglier? LOL You need to stop putting yourself down mate its not good for the soul  Tidy your hair up a little you will look fine   I thought your co-commentator looked likr the commentator from Robot Wars! And that aint a good look
  23. I think this has been asked before on another thread but has anyone messed around with the RPM point that the flap moves. Or is 4k deemed the optimum?
