Welcome. I like that! :D Wheels look a bit different, what are they?
-
Just how expensive is this corrado to run???
Leonard replied to Gforceuk's topic in General Car Chat
Mmmm £35k, nice Aston Martin Vantage Back to the original topic I think as a rule of thumb you should expect average spending on a Corrado to be around the £500-1000. Which when you take into account modern car depreciation aint that bad really! -
Just noticed your in Notts mate. If it helps you, you are welcome to come over to my neck of the woods (matlock) and I will gladly take you for a spin so you can see if a BMC filter is your cup of tea or not/decide what mods you fancy :D Matt

Cannot really comment on the std seats but the Recaros are very very comfy
-
They will look spot on in the Corrado! 8) Shame they aint leather but I wont nic pik
-
Dont suppose anyone could manage a photoshop to try and persuade me  :D

I think the wheels may just fit mate but the tyres will be too wide.
-
Good luck tomorrow mate. I will have everything crossed for you! :D At least you have left it in the safest hands possible 8)

It was in Redline a few months ago IIRC, or was it PVW? One of the two! Mid engined, RWD, 24V twin turbo Corrado goodness :notworthy: http://www.spturbo.com/mainpages/bill%2 ... orrado.htm http://www.spturbo.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=334 Ooooo mamma, that is real nice
-
Cheers Zak Kev are the blank hubs expensive?
-
Guess there is no real way of getting them to fit properly though is there? :( How safe is welding and re-drilling the holes? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-ur-quattro-M ... 240%3A1318

15's mate

The Formula 1 and Mclaren F1 are mid engined, so RWD by default :D For FASTEST cars on the planet, you forgot about the Top fuel drag cars...which are RWD...but not really road legal  The Veyron is 4WD and the fastest production car, or one of.... Interestingly, the 911 turbo and Nissan GTR have weird layouts. 911 T has a reversed 4WD drivetrain, i.e. rear engine & RWD + FWD GTR has front engine, rear gearbox, RWD, plus another shaft going back to the front again. Odd! But it works damn well. Anyway, Mic, why not RWD your Corrado?! Or mid engine it like Schimmel's 24V T? Engine layouts were not asked about in the original question so have no bearing on the fastest cars being RWD   Never seen the SP car  have you got a link to it?
-
At the end of the day the FASTEST cars on the planet are ALL RWD Formula 1 Car McLaren F1 ThrustSSC! Hence RWD is faster than FWD
-
LOL Yes they do go a little OTT, but have you seen some of the French! Rear plate surround is just std painted, real easy to do/get your local paintshop to do  Agree about the rear wiper, great mod. I find it too useful to not have though.
-
I think RWD is the correct answer  However there is no doubt that you can make a FWD car go VERY fast. If you havent already go and test drive a Mazda RX8 or similar and feel the purity of the steering and ride. Lovely. But then it sounds like a bag of nails in a washing machine, which is a shame LOL

I likey! Not sure about the wheels, look a little big maybe (i cant talk with 17's on my C) but no really nice mate. Everything else is perfect in my eyes  I used to have an utter blast on roundabouts in my 316iLux Touring so I imagine you will have a ball with rwd and 230bhp LOL
-
LOL that is so true, very hard to be original modding a Corrado  Thanks VAG-HAG subtle was the key. I would like to think if the Germans were a little more exciting it would have left the factory a little like that

I do like both looks TBH. Getting my std speedlines refurbed soon so will see. May leave all mods and just change wheels back to std.

And if you decide to stay standard and just get it lowered it should look like this
