Just makes the roof gutter look tidy m8. Someone will probably have cut off the edges of the strips (that disintegrate) and put sealant down the edges to tidy them up. So no shouldnt be responsible for your leak Matt

Shit thats bad mate, how bad is the damage then? Looking at those pics Im thinking it could have been a lot worse! Dont wanna tell you how to suck eggs. But if the back end goes dont ever lift of entirely. If in doubt keep your foot planted to the floor and steer in the direction you wanna go! :D -

Blimey do you have time to go to the pub  Only messing, looks beautiful. Not often you see red paintwork in such condition :salute: -
I left the laquer on my split rims and just polished the centres (as they are relatively easy to keep clean). Dont look that dull. Yeah not mirror finish but price you pay for every day use :( . Could look good with black centres, make it look even more shiny!
-
LOL Polish em and then laquer them then
-
Just polished dishes with high silver centres would do it for me 8)

Nice work 8) -
The last two I saw sell went for £1250 and £1000 respectively. Neither were 100% perfect though. Also seen them fetch $2k-$2.5k in the states. Normal Schrick VSR's have dropped a fair bit in the 2nd hand market so not sure if this will affect VW VSR residuals  Personally I would say it has to be worth a grand to someone though. But then I would say that since I have one myself

Anyone got any pics of their new smoothed rear end

Almost time for new clutch. Just trying to justify fitting a nice lsd at the same time  And 263 cams being delivered tomorrow, woohoo! -
How about metallic black with a bit of red metallic pearl chucked in the mix. Then a nice black leather interior with red stitching, yummy :norty:

I called 6 local places up and nobody wanted to know :(
-
Looks good. Is there a guide to do this anywhere Kev?
-
Some good little tips there 8)

If you go for a 45 section on a 16 inch wheel it shouldnt be any lower than a std wheel. I think 8.5's would be on the wide side as wellespecially in 17 inch
-
As I understand it this is a REAL pig of a job and you risk breaking the glass (which is not cheap) If there is any possibility I would try and treat the rust with window in place. Matt
-
I could be wrong but I would have thought a 45 section tyre would be a better height on the 16's
-
Do love the look of this car 8) Keep up the good work! :salute:

Mmmmm Modernlines do look rather good on the C 8) Good luck with it Matt
