Yeah the Kit comes woth a laser cut heat shield that goes right upto the bonnet- fits really well and cost £150 but ive got one an think its worth every penny- sounds awesome and much more responsive!
-
No they fit the Jetex one which is not foam- it is the wire mesh sort of type one if that makes sense? :? like the K&N They are very good are are just as good if not better at as astandard air box at filtering. they also sound mentle and trottle response is much better !
-
Jabba sport are very exspensive admittedly but when it comes to knowledge and qulaity of work i think there preety sh*t hot- they have been working with forced induction for quite a few years on VAG cars and id say that although they do tend to empty your bank account when you go to see them  they know more about the G40 or G60 engine more than anyone + they are also very succesful there just feccking exspensive mate! :?

I was putting in better times than standard turbo scoobies at santa pod with 15" wheels , chip, de-cat, exhaust S4 charger Inductionb kit and AMDchip with the back seats and spair wheel removed and a bit of octane booster= they were around the low 15 seconds and i managed 14.9 seconds. Made me chuckle! They are good cars but terrible to look at in side - look like taxi inside but thats not what there all about.... Drove a Tommi Makinen EVo 6 once from luton to Dartford and that was alot of fun!
-
There not exspensive to have done Should cost about £100 tops which will include the parts as well :D

Sorry to hear that mate thats a right arse- have you spoken to them about this? And asked them why they gave you incorrect info that has left you out of pocket? Do they also fit the products they sell like demon tweeks or someone like that? - if so ask them to fit them onto your motor. Or who are there authorised distributors of the wheel as surely some of them will have a fitting service- same thing get them to try and put them on your car... And then tell them that they didnt fit - money back please or a smaller two rear wheels please you can then say! James
-
To be honest with you mate i cant realy see the point in fitting such wide wheels on the back- way to much hassle and exspense and for what benefit. :? If the car was rear wheel drive then such wide wheels would give obviously more grip but the rado isnt... How come you wanted 9" rims on the back?

Looks like something fell out of the sky and hit the bonnet! Looks dreadful! :?
-
Thats what attracted me to it

I have one of these manuals and can say that it is almost completely useless ( dont have to worry about buying toillet roll for a while!) It is no where near enough descriptive as it doesnt specify particular engines it just states engines made beteween certain years and engine sizes. It's pants! :x

Depends what route you plan on going down? Any idea? £3k should get you a fair old bit though- what have you got to start with though is your wagon a 16 valver if so i would sayt whip it out and put something else in? :D Anyone no how many sheets i would be looking at to convert My G60 to a 16v parts wise? i can tackle the work my self. i know it pistons head charger brackets etc. Is it worth doing for the loot?
-
Qantum Synter Siler - Was reccomneded o me by the holy grail that is Jabbasport. Vw own brand. Depends what motor youve got though? G60? like mine?

Sounds like a chip and pulley to me- that gives about 190 with an exhaust. Flowing of the supercharger wouldnt give that sought ofincrease on its own. With that sought of mileage although not to high and it being supercharged you really want to take someone with you who knows about cars to check it out for you.- if you dont know anyone then maybe get inspected by the AA or ask a local garage. Hi, Listen out for timing chain noise(rattle) and look at the service receipts for if it has been changed. Head gaskets arnt something that has to be done really unlees they obviously go. Again look in the bills for if it has been done- i had a VR6 Golf that went at 77k! but that was probably due to my "enthusiastic driving" Just look for the usual signs - i.e sludge crap on the oil filler cap and misfire, over heating, loss of power etc. The VR6 motor are reasonably strong along as they havent been messed around with but make sure it hasnt been thrashed- speak to the prev owner on the V5 doc if you can. They are very tapety though so dont worry about that unless it sounds like a cement mixer with nails in it! How much is it? as you want to get it preety cheap at that sought of mileage+ see if they will give you a warranty and look to see what it covers. You want the suspensin to have been already changed as well if it's done 111k as this will be on it's last legs so check for this again in the history. The Gearbox's again are usually ok again - synchro goes on second quite quickly on these car but dont worry if it crunches a little on the first couple of chanes into second when its cold Check all the electrics work. such as mirrors, windows and spoiler + roof. Hope this helps.

Yeah i like them to they look quite cool 8) Would get some if they didnt say Premier on them, "Corrado" would be cool though. I think i'll give the home made jobs ago. Cheers Guys for the advice!
-
Yeah i have but didnt really like the look of them. :( There were ones that glow in the dark whch i didnt really fancy and there were other back lit type jobs available in the states that had a seperate wiring harnes type thing to make them light up blue but there are bits on them that i dont like(im a pickey bastard!) such as "fuel only + the temp is in F in stead of C? :? Any other ideas? Blue lit dials does sound cool but wouldtn match all the switches and heater slider thingy?
-
Hi Chap, Im after some white dials for my G60 to brighten up my interior oh and of course they give the car at least another 50bhp! Anyone know where i can get a set? Im after the late spec ones with the digital mileometer and i really dont want the company's name on them like "Venom Motor sport" or something a bit tacky like that. :? just want the speed the rev, petrol temp etc. Anyone know anywhere i can get them?
-
Hi, You would get alot of scrubbing if you could actually get them on, you really need a wheel no wider than 6.5" other wise you going to get alot of probs + you certainly wouldnt be able to drop it without alot of work to the arches. Sorry mate. :(

start the engine once every week and let it get up to operating temp that way it should charge the battery and hopefully burn off any condensation inside the engine.........make sure you do this in a well-ventilated arean tho(to avoid carbon-mono-oxide poisoning etc) and if possible move the car ever so slightly so as to avoid getting low-spots on the tyres where its been sitting......also "chock" the wheels and leave the handbrake off and leave the car in gear(if its facing downhill.....leave in reverse, uphill leave in 2nd/3rd) I would strongly suggest not doing this ( starting the car up every week when not driving it) Do it far less than that, say once very couple of months, this is beacuse when a car is just started up and left running the engine takes three time longer to get warm and the oil to circulate than when being driven from cold. This creates alot of wear on the top half of the engine and will quickly wear out the tappets. It sounds funny i know but trust me it is not good for the car. It also creats large amounts of carbon build up in the engine with it idling all the time and mot being revvved which it needs to be to burn this off. A few years back i had 16v Mk2 Golf that i used to leave running for about 10 minutes beofre i got to work every morning and it preety much wore out the top half of the emgine. Arse! :( This was also confirmed to me in a Newpaper article recently about letting your engine warm up before you drive it- it was wriiten by a scientist who works for Shell oil- he to said it was not the one! 8) + i dont think the tarp will be sufficient to keep the fury critters out - they''ll chew straight through it! Buy a couple pf moggies to keep in the barn with the car- they sought the little critters out it no time!

Hi when replacing the shocks it's always worth while replacing the top monts as well. If you go to German and swedish to get the top mounts the bump stops come with them in the kit and its not exspensive

Hi, 22 almost 23- got 4 yeas Ncb on 92 G60 £710 tpft Through Adrian Flux- It's cheaper than when i had a 96 VR6 golf and The Rado's would cack on it!!!

Hi, Velcro is good if the sub is light one and the boot floor is flat. Ive got a 12" JBL Sub with a "big box" and i use sub box straps that you can get from preety much any half descent stereo shop- there about 10 sheets for a pair. And they hold it in place no probs.
-
Hi, Im not sure if im right (i never really am!) but i think it is just the VR's that got the bonnets with the bulges as my car is a face lift G60 but has no bonnet bulge. It makes sense as the VR6 motor sits a bit higher up in the engine bay.
-
Hi, Id be up fo a set if you could get rid of that "Unleaded crap only" and if you can see the needles when driving in the dark + how do you get the rest of the interior stuff blue such as the switches and heater controls? or cant we? Sorry for all the questions. James
