surely 8/10 is more than "not bad"!!![/quote:26fsz2nb] My thoughts too! 8/10 means it's a cracker in my book :) Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief: 6/10 good fun older kids' fantasy.

Double figures come up pretty quickly when I go for a run or pop out on my bike... ;)

Check all the intake pipework for airleaks. Also check that the foam from the ISV damper box hasn't been sucked into one of the ISV pipes. Probably worth replacing the fuel pump relay + changing the fuel filter.
-
Now, that's a plan...

Thanks for that :) Depending on how nice your dealer is, you should get some discount. I get 10-17% depending on what the part is.
-
Sounds like a great idea- I'd be happy to contribute the 'stock' car, although I have had a DG remap, so, erm not exactly stock, but more stock than a cammed up VR

Welcome! Around town you should see between 20-27mpg. Country roads will be better... depending on how you drive ;)

Yeah all done Andy, was going to be a logistical nightmare sending them out with the card but hopefully with the next publication, dont quote me on that though Lol! Thanks Paul, nice one. I seem to need a new sticker fairly regularly

Like the pic :) Need a new CCGB sticker though- are the new batch ready Paul?

Do it! Looks good- especially with the green :)

How about a full model/colour poll [Attention Corrado Nerds]
CazzaVR replied to v8rumbler's topic in General Car Chat
In my rush to cut/paste the list of colour codes I missed the fact that Khaki Pearl Effect was a Germany only colour. That said, many years ago there was such a car in the UK, which had been ordered (in RHD) by the owner when he'd lived in Germany and had brought it back here with him. The colour was certainly unusual, but nowhere near as bad as you'd have thought based on the colour description. Unfortunately the car was stolen in 2001 and never seen again. Yep, remember this. The owner now owns a Skoda vRS and is 'Hofmeister' on the Briskoda forum 8) Quote from Briskoda: 'Sadly my corrado was stolen, then involved in a hit and run but the police couldnt be bothered to contact me to tell me so they left my car by the side of the road in Streatham....i was told by a local shop keep that it got stripped down by kids and then the chassis was dragged off by some fellas in van.....never seen again.' :( It was an awesome car, the last owner had spent the best part of ?20K getting a fully rebuilt race engine from AMD with the very rare VWM VSR intake, Shrick cams, big valve head etc -
Mod edit: address removed- best to send your address via PM ;)

Just watched Book of Eli- quite good, bit different. 6.5/10.

Actually enjoyed this- made me scared of the dark for a few nights!
-
Really want to see this- it's getting cracking reviews! 8)

DG do them, got the rear one from awesome GTI though as they were offering free postage until Christmas ;) The front one was fitted years ago by a previous owner- reckon it needs replacing though. Think you can just get replacement inserts, but can't find anywhere that does them :(
-
Just found Stealth have some here. Anyone know if any of the rears will fit a late VR (17mm). They're all listed for the Golf, but would think they would be the same for the Rado?

Sure you don't have the old compound, as I read it changed not so long since and is now much improved. I guess you don't want to be forking out £100+ for some pads that you'll be taking off in a few months, so how about the Black diamond kit, I couldn't talk from experience but my brother is happy with his setup, and the pads are reasonably priced. Black Diamond use the same pad compounds as EBC- they're made in the same factory. Think the Black Diamond Fast Track = EBC Red Stuff. Gotta say, since switching to reds on my vRS, I've been totally unimpressed. The car used to stop on a sixpence with the standard VAG pads, but have to agree with Kev- the Reds have no initial bite, which is a little unnerving!
-
I would go for VT mounts. Similar in price, but way better. Got front, rear + Golf diesel gb mount on my VR. No noticeable extra vibrations. Did the rear mount myself a couple of weeks ago and it took around 45 mins, taking it easy ;) Really pretty simple- have a go!
-
Maybe worth giving dave16v a shout- I'm sure he could knock something similar up in no time :)
-
Reckon so, although that is a little confusing...
-
Stop being lazy and crack out the V5 for the chassis number!
-
Yeh, the first one is for early hook fitment. The second one looks right, or EX005.
-
Jim, they're pretty easy to change TBH. I did mine on my green VR, without knowing how to do it before hand, and it was very painless. VW spares do Febi ones for around £10 a side if you can't get them from VW :)
-
As above: immobiliser, ignition switch, relays, ISV or main battery cable (mine was falling apart, causing the car to die completely).
